Many of us on this site being political nerds I'm sure that there are a fair share of us who have imagined what it would be like if we could execute our political and economic theories into practice. Nationstates is just that but an incredibly simple version of it. Too simple. Its all in browser based and gives you two issues to handle a day. I would like to try something with much more meat in it.

Are there any game like this?

I've heard the Civilization series, but isn't that much more of a strategy game?

Play Hammurabi, like a bawse. I'm not sure why, but it kind of reminds me of that, even though the gameplay couldn't be more different.

Man all of these games are not like Nation States from their description.

Only Superpower fits it and that game sucks.

Warning: last time I played this it was so insanely complicated that only 3 or 4 systems actually mattered. Shit was fucked. up. but if they actually made all the systems work then only a super advanced alien could play it.

You'd think with an idea this common there'd be more games made for it.

Oh well. Then again the concept of doing what you want in a real world wasn't introduced since Grand Theft Auto, so no surprise.
