Are these sneakers cool or lame?

They are shoes for poseurs. It's like buying worn out jeans. If you had a pair of white shoes that were authentically covered in paint splashes because you're a real ass artist, then that would be cool.

Common Project Achilles?

Overpriced to heck.

Go Kent Wang. They have a leather white on white sneaker for 90s bucks.
something about kent wang' seem old mannish, but then i don't like plain white achilles either. i'd go haerfest if one could find them in their size.

I think they look pretty neat actually. Much more interesting then a lot of shoes people in this thread are posting. I wouldn't pay more than $60 for them though, but I'm the kind of person who spends maybe $100 on shoes every 2 years.

The design is too real to be pleasant to the eyes. Almost all the slash design have people carefully position them un order to be appealing.

I can't say I like the first pair, even without the paint. The shoes are just a really unappealing shade of beige and the outsole has a strange tapper to it. The placement of the paint effect leaves a bit to be desired, as well.

The second pair's a lot better, though, personally speaking, I'm not a fan the texture of the vamp.

If you like em, get em. If people with similar shoes have a history of mysteriously being thrown into dumpsters head first, maybe reconsider.

I had a new pair of shoes just like that, until my brother decided to borrow my shoes when he wanted to paint his room. The were all fucked up.

Basically if something looks like it was a mistake and is sold as new, or at a premium then it's lame, and don't buy it.

Lame.

Edit: Although, I suppose if you were considering buying them, you might be the sort of person who could pull them off. I can see them working on certain people. Post your wardrobe, op.
