Are you a pizza snob?

I sure as hell am. I grew up with eating NYC pizza atleast once a week until I left to go to college in New England. What a dark 4 years that was. Papa Johns and Dominos everywhere. People not from a good pizza area just don't understand there is a difference.

When I think about it I'm not a snob about anything.

Food, beer, movies, music, etc. I enjoy everything.

Not really. I know a good pizza from a bad pizza, but... even a bad pizza is still pizza. I rag on Papa Johns (because it is The Worst Pizza), but I'll eat it all the same.

Considering New England has the best Pizza in the US. You're not a pizza snob you just don't know pizza.

Mileage may vary if New England doesn't not mean New Haven, CT.

I would say no, as the last two pizzas I had were Domino's and a frozen pizza from a grocery store. That being said, I have had pizza that was just awful before, so I do have a threshold for crap pizza.

Also, wood oven pizza > all others.

I'm from NY, but even NY has cheap pizza--Two Brothers?

I can't stand chain pizza though. Way too doughy.

Pizza is absolutely terrible for you, so when I get eat it I try to get the best possible.

I'm from New York and New York pizza snobs like you are annoying. If I don't get a slice of pizza from Brooklyn or some other favored pizzeria, then I'm supposedly wasting my money or don't know what's good for me. That only tells me that I'm able to enjoy more foods.

New Haven isn't really New England IMO. That's still very close to NYC. I went to school in Rhode Island and have spent a lot of time in Massachusetts.

I love my NY pizza, it's amazing. But I'm far from a snob. Took part in that recent Yankees celebration day and got a $2 Papa John's pie that has been sitting in my freezer for a week.

Every few months I get a casserole craving and go get Uno's Chicago deep dish. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

No. Why would I let my enjoyment of something be hampered because it's not 'the best'? Besides, you think NYC pizza is something worthy of being snobby over? That's funny.

I absolutely am a pizza snob.

That being said, I've got no problem eating Pizza Hut or Dominos or whatever. I just greatly prefer [what I call] good pizza.

I have my tastes about ingredients and definitely prefer a good pizza over a bad one, so I guess yes?

Absolutely. We have a million great mom and pop shops in Cleveland. How anyone can order chain pizza with so many other better options blows my mind

I'm pizza egalitarian. Best I've ever had was bananas and cheese in Beijing - throw some cheese and bread together and I'll enjoy it, no regional or traditional baggage holding me back.

There used to be a pizza place in my local mall that made the best damn pizza slices and stuffed pizzas I ever ate. A side of piping hot French fries and some marinara sauce for dipping.

Got dayum was I in heaven. I miss that place.

FUCK.

..yeah.

I was just criticizing Dennis for being a bread snob and here I am snobbing out of control. I can't eat anything other than quality local pizzas. I scoff at people while they're in the Pizza Hut parking lot. Shouting, "FILTHY PEASANTS".

I don't tell people they are stupid for liking shitty pizza (even though I secretly think it). I just refuse to eat terrible pizza especially when its so unhealthy.

lol alright, so long as you don't try to dissuade others then I'm fine.

I HATE overly greasy pizza where the bread goes all soggy.

And pineapple. Fuck pineapple.

How many times have you tried pineapple pizza, out of curiosity?

the only bad pizza I've had was from 7/11 and the school lunch cafeteria

I can appreciate really good pizza, but "bad" pizza like dominos, papa johns...*shrug* takes pretty fukin good to me..

I wish I could visit NY and try a decent pizza, all we have here in England (Stratford) is a Pizza Hut/Dominos and a local snappy pizza.

No I'll eat all sorts of pizzas, supermarket frozen pizzas, Dominos pizzas, Pizza Hut, kebab shop pizzas or Italian restaurant pizzas.
Whatever takes my fancy.

Dude, you don't know pizza hell until you try it in the midwest. New England is practically Manhattan compared to the shit in Ohio.

Funny you should mentioned that, my parents are actually from Ohio so I've been there quite a bit. You do some weird things with how you cut a pizza out there.

What's adorable is that you let it get to you.

Raised and Growing up in NYC, there are pizza places I tend to frequent more than others, but a NY Neapolitan slice can vary from "tastes like cardboard" to "too sweet" to "too much crust and dough" and everything in between.

I don't let the marketing get to me, more or less. I owe no loyalties to any one pizza parlor. I'm personally a fan of the flatbread pizza over all.
