OP off to a terrible start already. Claims New England is "dark times" for pizza consumption. Ignores New Haven is in New England. So sad.
New Haven is very close to NYC. The Connecticut line being the border for New England is pretty silly IMO.
Dominos is undeniably bad. It is food, but it is not good. The pizza itself has absolutely no flavor. The only flavor comes from toppings. Toppings are important, but the flavor in pizza shouldn't come exclusively from toppings.
That said, Dominos is still food and food is good, but dominos is not good pizza. It's just food meal. Also Dominos is cheap and they deliver super late, which is great, but let's not delude ourselves that they make good pizza.
If Terrsus was here, he'd tell you all about these wonderful not chain pizza places all over the New England area.

I wouldn't be surprised if you're one of those people that buys Little Ceaser's the wrong way too.

Dominos is probably the best pizza in your area, I'm willing to bet that's a fact. A sad fact, but a fact. One day you will realize that there are parts of the country that actually make good pizza. On that day you will look back on this post and laugh.
O rly? If the best pizza you ever had was Dominos, I genuinely feel sorry for you.

I live in Boston now, grew up outside NYC. Boston has alright pizza places, but most don't hold a candle to even low quality NY pizza. There are a few great places though, I particularly like Santarpio's in East Boston.
Living in Minnesota was infinitely worse though. I didn't realize that most of the country considers Dominoes and Papa Johns to be "real" pizza. They were confused when I asked what the local pizza places were, and just rattled off a list of pizza chains in the area.
Back to the OP's question, yes I think I qualify as a pizza snob.
It's not the best I've had or even the best in the area. I just don't consider it bad. Definitely worth it for how much it costs at least.
I sure as hell am. I grew up with eating NYC pizza atleast once a week until I left to go to college in New England. What a dark 4 years that was. Papa Johns and Dominos everywhere. People not from a good pizza area just don't understand there is a difference.
Oh yeah, if you're talking about their free MLB pizza deals that happen it's definitely worth the price.
Fuck it, I ordered a Spinach, Mushroom, Tomato chain pie with a 7 buck coupon I had.
I hope you're happy.
Lol the low price of free.
Where did you get it from? I better not recognize the name.
You would, I did say chain pie...
Oh damn, I missed that. Very disappointed, but I can't fault your use of coupons.
