Quite the reverse. I love darkness (well, at night - I'm not a vampire or anything like that). Proper dark - new moon, up on the moors, far from towns, bit of starlight. Awesome.

I've spent nights alone in forests while hiking, nights alone out on the open water while kayaking. The dark is of no concern to me.

I sleep in the pitch black but i do have night lights through out the house so i don't trip and kill myself at night but i am terrified of the dark if lets say i am walking in the woods if its pitch black, walking down a road with no one around would creep me out but in non-creepy situations the dark doesn't scare me at all, i can't sleep if there is a light on.
