Oh wow, a great retort!

Do you really think if I was that age I would be on a fucking videogame forum my man? Look at my join date.

Try to lighten up and don't have such stupid opinions like "oh folks who play GTA just think about or want to simulate killing people"

What a straight up ridiculously stupid opinion.

Good day sir.

With DEI/ESG in retreat, there is hope for it, but I will most definitely be waiting on reviews (and patches) before I even consider buying it. It will NOT be a day-1 buy.

I need to lighten up? You just flipped your shit over my opinion. One gamer. Don't let it ruin your day,, bruh

Lmao, flipping your shit is now correcting you on your dumbass opinion?

Hold up a fucking mirror to yourself dude, and just admit you said a retarded thing.

I'll say it again

"People who play GTA do not fantasize about simulating or killing people"

Just like the people who play fucking Mario Kart don't fantasize about going kart racing on a tropical island

Or the people like YOU who are looking forward to a beat em up game, are probably not fantastizing about simulating beating up folks.

For gods sake man. Think before you speak.

You're coming in here with some dumbass Jack Thompson moral crusade shit. Fuck outta here

Bit offtopic but instaled gta5 with rt and trying to play it maxed on my new 5080, and fuck i couldnt, game looks dated as all hell despite all the upgrades, rt, maxed out settings and native 4k60 stable as fuck, i got too spoiled by current gen games, witcher4 demo and 2 trailers of gta6 and now cant look at gta5 without thinking:

No, they made a little game called Red Dead Redemption 2 in between. Masterpieces don't take two or three years anymore. Especially not from Rockstar.
Honestly after RDR2 Rockstar is the only studio I forgive for such long development times because it actually seems they are worth it. 8 years after and Red Dead 2 still has no match.
Sucker Punch took 5 years to make Yotei, a great game but basically same as Tsushima but bigger, Naughty Dog is nowhere to be seen, will Heretic Prophet justify such a long time between games? I hope so but I doubt it.
From Sony only Insomniac keeps delivering.
CDPR had a mess with Cyberpunk on their hands so now TW4 will take more than 10 years to come out after TW3.
Bethesda took who knows how long between Fallout 4 and Starfield and it was a mess.
Ubisoft is gone.

It's a shit show. If GTA VI turns out to be shit I might honestly lose hope in good flagship AAA open world games.

People forget but it's PS3/360 game, there's no PBR pipeline to be used for shiny details with the new ray tracing effects. It's honestly a miracle the game looks as good as it does so long after being released.

Exactly. Its not that easy to create a masterpiece on the level of GTA V and RDR2. Publishers gave up trying to copy Gta in open world games.. Sleeping Dogs was the last huzzah.

Like you said 8 years after RDR2, there really isnt an open world game on its level, graphically and in terms of mood, atmosphere etc..

I love that you can talk to every npc. I cant wait to see how and if that is implemented in GTA 6. I really hope so

Leaks suggest the Greet/Antagonize system will also be back for this game so I'm hopeful.

Yeah and even the leaks looked good weapon handling wise. I love the system in Max Payne 3 and I think stashing weapons in your trunk etc is a good idea.
I love it, the more immersive mechanics Rockstar implements the merrier for me but I'm honestly unsure about these mechanics being mandatory after RDR2 got so much stupid backlash that some people were actually suggesting God of War was the better game :messenger_tears_of_joy:
If it were up to me I'd give players the choice, a menu option where you can choose to either have to good old magical weapon wheel or have a more realistic Red Dead 2-style system where weapons are actually physically present on your character and you have to stash them somewhere.

I dont mind them going for more realism. Especially in a western I dont mind things being slow 🔥.
