The buying frenzy of this thing is way over the top. It's a pretty standard controller but with touch pads added. It's not that special.

The only thing I hate more than scalpers are people who buy from scalpers.

Both the controllers I ordered have now completed the "packaged item" checkpoint. I was genuinely convinced they would've been cancelled with the errors, but I am more excited, genuinely, I get to surprise a family member with 1 because they were unable to order any and have been so excited since it was revealed (they loved the first Steam Controller too).

I think the onus should be on suppliers to combat scalpers, like how Sony handled PS5. Trying to fight the principle of supply and demand is a fools errand.

People will always have the right to buy a thing for one price, and resell it for another price. You can't outlaw market dynamics.
