He's wayyyyyy over the top but he is absolutely right up until about 2:30 on part 1. The second amendment is a defense against malevolent government institutions. Then he goes off into loony land, which is a shame because he would reach more of an audience if he cooled down and engaged in a debate, especially with his stance on pharmaceutical drugs.

My philosophy on this issue is simple. If I can't own an AR-15, then neither can soldiers or police forces. Soldiers deployed abroad on the other hand can hold that type of weapon. However, it is illegal to own upon return to the United States.

Amazing! Alex Jones has gone off the rails in the past years; but he's obviously playing a character now. He's talking about the gun stuff all the time now while he had no real interest in the issues years ago. He obviously goes where the money is; and now its paranoid gun owners.

A long time ago it was reptilian, satanic cults, masonic stuff and aliens; then it turned into black helicopters and gov monitoring; then it was 9/11, then war conspiracy stuff, then etc etc. In the '90, he was deep into the Waco thing and was into the theory that the waco cult was exterminated by satanic gov members, and even tried to get the church rebuild. Ever since the sex abuse stories came out, he kinda stfued about it and is silent about it

Its obvious he's doing this for rating and money, even the ads on his radio show are all ridiculous ads about survival kits, weight loss pills and various patriotic stuff.

Last night on his radio show he had callers calling in to tell him that they were worried that the cnn interview was a trap to have him killed and he pretty much said he expected it ot happen. He talked about how he was convinced that they were going to execute him after the interview or whatever.. The dude is exploiting weak minded idiots!
 
Holy shit I saw the thread title earlier and thought it was just some minor thing and ignored it and just now someone linked me to Alex Jones on Pierce Morgan. Guy acts like a complete psycho and I think just made every gun owner in america look like an insane gun nut.

I dont remember exactly when but I remember randomly hitting his shoutcast stream back in the late '90; and thats when he was deep into alien/matrix/big brother is watching you stuff. Me and my friend would listen to him whilr working on coding projects and laughing our asses off at how insane it was. He was doing tons of 'documentaries' about this; etc

Now he has a whole empire built around him, his site is a giant portal to his show ( and merchs!) , users have to pay for access, he makes tons of money from this now. You can buy dvds, survival kits, straws that filter dirty water, MRE, books and all sorts of bullshit!

And yeah he started his whole "I am a patriotic martyr" thing a couple of weeks ago; hes convinced that he is going to get killed, but keeps mentionning he has tons of guns and keeps challenging 'them' to come and take him out.

Dude has build this public persona around him, for money

Yeah, I'm aware of his current empire, I was just surprised that he's been around so long. I've only known about him for five years or so, but I suppose I could just be out of the crazy loop.

Sums it up well. There are markets for all sorts of stuff that certain people want to hear. This is just one particular sad niche market of people who want to hear crackpot ideas that thus make them feel like they have some secret insight that other people lack. And other people do lack it . . . because it is just conspiracy theory nonsense.

I do believe that is what our founding fathers intent was when they wrote the second amendment so, yes. That's different than saying that I believe it will happen.

Alex Jones is really one of the most slimy people on the Internet. Preying on the fear of his idiotic userbase and making money in the process.

But the "Barack Obama you wicked wicked devil" video is still one of my favorite things ever.

This other video of Beibler and "SPACE EXPLORATION, METHEMATICS, QUANTUM MECHANICS, THE SECRETS OF THE UNIVERSE- IT'S ALL THERE" is amazing.

He has touched this subject during the last few years he doesn't care he is putting out a persona and sticking to it. Someone briefly touched on it when they mentioned things he use to do like aliens or reptialians but become very centered around government nwo shit after 9/11. He is a shill and a bottom feeder not someone who follows him who takes him or the ideas he present than far more than just a grain of salt.

Like piers or other media tools they have no interest in a real debate and will use each other for more viewership. To AJ any time on TV is a win for him.

The point of this cartoon is moot because you can't prove a negative.

What needs to be changed though in this country isn't the gun laws but the gun culture. Alex Jones is a perfect example. Someone mentions enacting gun controls and he goes on a batshit crazy rant where he talks about 1776 and the Texas Revolution, calls Piers a redcoat and mocks his British accent, talks about prozac as suicide pills, mentions the "new world order," challenges Piers to a boxing match and basically says that gun controls will cause genocide.
 
Man, this guy takes the "American guy yelling on TV" stereotype to the extreme.

But I have to say it was hilarious when he started talking in British accent. Maybe it's because English is not my first language, I can see why it might be offensive to many though.
 
Piers Morgan did less than 5% of the talking in that interview - Alex Jones made the point for him and lived up to a hugely perceived stereotype. I bet Piers had a shit-eating grin on him after they shut off the cameras.
 
I've heard of Alex Jones innumerable times over the years but have not been interested in seeing what he has to say ... until now.

Holy shitballs what a kook and/or charlatan.

I don't have a strong opinion of Piers one way or another but I have to hand it to him to be completely calm and focused in that situation.

I'm shocked that CNN would give Alex a platform but I guess when you're third in the ratings these are the things you'll stoop to.
