Arkham Knight Preorder Skin Pack: Gotham's Future

These all look kinda of bad, Rocksteady was never good at Batsuit designs (or character design in general really) I hope some modder let us use Arkham Origins Batsuit/Batman model in this.

also WB miss a huge chance for Batman V Superman batsuit dlc here.

It might be unlocked in the game or in the season pass. They have said the season pass will have new content for 6 months or something like that. There will be unlock able skins in the game these are just pre-order ones

There is like zero reason for me to ever buy this version of the game, will wait for GOTY so I'm not locked out of story modes for other chars because game publishers have deals with Gamestop and so on. Fuck that shit.

Some preorders have controller skins.

Great for sweaty hands those things.

dat WB studios mantra: great games...terrible art design.

Not all the WB studios, for an example WB Montreal is good, Arkham Origins got good character designs (and best looking Batsuit/Batman of the series) and the environments and general design of thing was really good.

The weird thing is.. most of the Arkham designs are great. Just there skin packs are horrid.

nah, Rocksteady is just bad at art and character designs, in AA and AC everyone looked like bodybuilders made of clay, Batman batsuits were ugly and his face is like Darkseid or something, Harley Quinn awful outfit and same with most of the character in AA and AC. Rocksteady need to hire new guys or just let WB Montreal do the character designs for them.

So you are just completely ignoring the new AK designs? AA and AC designs weren't that bad.

More pre-order shenanigans. This is getting out of hand. All this pre-order dlc actually make me cautious and not buy games day one.

Someone tell me what retailer this is a preorder bonus for? Need to add it to the spreadsheet:

Edit: It's steam, updated the spreadsheet.

What the fuck is this?

You know shit went off the rails when you need a freaking Excel spreadsheet to keep track of pre-order bonusses.

Is it too much to hope that all this stuff comes with the season pass?

Besides the console specific stuff I don't think there have been any costumes you couldn't get at some later date for the previous games. Hopefully this is like the Mordor season pass that eventually came with everything.

All these cut up chunks of gameplay and bonuses spread between different stores is so annoying to me, it really does put me off buying the game straight away at launch.

I hear more about the preorder bonuses and shit than the actual game.

I wonder if I will get these bonuses. I'll be getting a key for the game from buying my new GPU. Anyone know if that counts as a preorder?

Isn't the BvS suit more or less the TDKR suit to begin with, though?

Heavily inspired by, but it's still pretty different; there's no trunks, and the material is entirely changed, off the top of my head. Also, while Batfleck is a bulky SOB, he's not that thick.

What is this anime-ish Batman movie that's being linked here?

Batman: Gotham Knight

It was a series of 4-5 short-anime episodes made leading up to the release of The Dark Knight. It has one foot in the film universe, set tentatively between Batman Begins and TDK (but barely, and it holds no canonity). The episodes were also made by different studios, meaning that the visuals vary going from scenario to scenario.

I don't recall a lot of them. 'Working through pain' is one I watched recently, and that was pretty good.

EDIT:
And Kevin Conroy voices Batman throughout. That's a plus.

I think a lot of the additional detail to the suit and Batman limits them. Like the increased facial animation detail meaning that the faces have to stay somewhat consistent. And the fact that Batman's cape is tucked into the shoulder pads in his Arkham Knight suit meaning that the same must be done in skins due to the animations.

EDIT:

Actually, that would explain the face of the Batman Beyond skin. It's like they just decided to paint the mouth area in black paint so that it could still animate as it would normally.

That explains it, but still do not understand why it has to be two different colors though. Even if the poly placement had to match why does the color? Is some of this stuff shader driven or what?
