Armello is a grand swashbuckling adventure that combines three styles of play; The deep tactics of card games with the rich strategy of table top board games, combined with a character role-playing system.

As a hero from one of the clans of Armello, you'll quest, scheme, hire agents, explore, vanquish monsters, cast spells and face off against other players, with one ultimate end goal in mind — storming the palace and becoming King or Queen of Armello. The Kingdom of Armello is as dangerous as it is beautiful, perils, banes and bandits hide around every corner and a spreading corruption known as the rot is leaving no creature untouched.

Armello is League of Geeks’ attempt to revolutionise digital board and card games, whilst providing players a rich world within which they can craft their own stories of epic adventure. The aim was to create a rich game full of backstabbing, close shaves, shattered alliances, ruses and empty promises - a perfect game to play with your friends.

  • Easy to Play but Hard to Master - Armello is an intuitive game, easy to pick up and experience but with deep and emergent strategy. Full release will include a tutorial mode.
  • Fast & Thoughtful - Adventuring in Armello is fast-paced fun but filled with deadly tactical and politically complex decisions requiring careful forethought and planning.
  • Multiple Playable Heroes - Full release will include 8 playable Heroes. Each unique Hero possess a special power, stat line and Ai personality. Also heroes can be customised with Amulet and Signet Ring load-outs to match your play style or counter an opponents strategy.
  • Dynamic Sandbox - Armello features a gorgeous dynamic world which procedurally generates a new map each and every game, complete with a dynamic quest system ensuring no two games of Armello are ever the same.
  • Turn-Based Day & Night Cycle - Armello features a fuzzy turn-based system, cycling between Day and Night phases. The fuzzy turns allow you to still play cards and do certain actions when its not your turn, and when it is you use Action Points to move around the hex board.
  • World Class Music & Audio - By Michael Allen, internationally acclaimed artist Lisa Gerrard, Stephan Schutze and Jacek Tuschewski.
  • Animated Cards - Armello will feature over a 120+ beautifully animated in-game Cards, from artists all over the world.
  • True Tabletop Feel - We spent months making sure we cherry-picked the best parts of the tabletop experience, like our custom physics-based dice!

Maybe something for the OP (once we have the price), but it will be on sale for PS4 at launch because it was a runner up for the PS+ voting. Day one for me, even if I cannot play it right away thanks to Metal Gear^^

i first saw this on the Alienware PAX stream this past weekend, got rather excited. was able to get a code form the giveaways

so here i am waiting for the full release to hit so i can really dive in. anyone interested in organize a game at some point?

The game that I wish had won. Going to get this later in the month but I am getting it. I wish there was local play but I understand the mechanics wouldn't work too well with it. Rat Clan 4 lyfe.

Met some of the Dev's at PAX an of course couldn't help myself but to bring up Brian Jacques. I really wanted this to win the PS+ nod as well. Oh well regardless I'm buying it. Also first one to quote me gets a code for special PAX skin dice.

I'll take it if it's for the PC version.

30% discount for PLUS is tempting... but there are so many games to buy this month! If the release was 2 months ago i would have bought without thinking twice. Still have to check if i'll have money left for it. Until which date is the PLUS discount?

I'm... probably going to buy this game. Looks great.

Question: for PS4 play, I know there isn't local coop, but can I play with a friend online (just me and one other person) with AI filling in the rest of the spots?

The lack of local really kills this game for me. I appreciate that due to design choices (hidden information and the like) it is a real difficult task, but I would have rather they tried to implement a workaround then just left it online only. The fact that I will likely only be able to play this once or twice with friends online if that mean that this is a 'wait for a sale' game for me.

I have definitely been waiting for this. I knew that it wouldn't win the Play vote but at least we get a discount.

I love digital board games and this is just oozing style in the art.

My friend is pestering me, trying to get me to buy this. I said no. It looks interesting but I don't think I have the time for it now.

Native DS4 support on PC is welcomed. unfortunately, the trackpad function doesn't work even though the in0game controls say it does. at least ti's only for dice rolls and has been put on left stick

Really torn on getting this or not. I honestly have no time to play much right now and I should have MGSV waiting for me when I get home.

Loved the Redwall books as a kid. Salamandstrom (sp?) was my first and favorite I believe.

Any word on if the PC version is touch optimized? This would be perfect to play on my Surface Pro.
In the Giant Bomb video it looked very much like a touchpad game. Click and hold for actions, etc.

What I think didn't look touchpad friendly were was scale of the less used menus.

This game looks good. Any reviews? Annoyed that people voted for what ended up being a $7.99 game, while leaving us with this $19.99 great looking game to pay for. ;)

I voted for this. Looks so much better than Grow Home. People have bad taste.

I know you back-pedaled, but this is the sentiment I saw from the moment Grow Home started winning the vote. Grow Home is a great game. Really it's unfortunate we had to choose one because both expand the PS4's catalogue. I chose Grow Home in the end because even if it was on Plus I would have a hard time convincing friends to play.
