Arrested development season 3 starts tonight at 8

Brilliant start to Season 3. So many great moments. The imoscar.com part was one of my favorites. I'll definitely be picking up season 2.

You know what's even better? The fact that you didn't "get" half the jokes because they were references to past episodes. WAit until 3-4 more episodes, you'll really dig it. Classic show.
 
This show is about 100x better if youve seen all the previous episodes in order. The magic of the internet made that a possibility for me, now im hooked. :)
 
Am I the only one who got a huge kick out of seeing the blue hand print on the back of Kitty's head? I mean who doesn't like a good oral joke =)

That was a good episode, but I didn't get half of the jokes because I was doing something else. Damn it!

With this show, you can't afford to laugh because you'll miss the next joke.

The boy with the hand thing...of course, it was a left hand.

Tambor does an awesome job of both characters. Just had to say that. :P

Yep got to love the way the head of acquisitions at the BBC saw the show, said "this is great, we've got to have this, so we can bury it in a late night slot where no-one will ever see it". At least with it being on so late it won't get taken off for weeks at a time for Snooker, unlike Buffy.

And yeah, the timeslot sucks. The amount of convincing I had to do to my brother to stay up to watch it...

Actually it was a series on UPN (I'm totally stalking you from TWOP to here, dude)...but the point stands.

We have to wait for full demo breakdown along with more information on what FOX did in the timeslot last year...I know that last week's Prison Break repeat did better than AD and KC, but I am wondering what Fox aired in this timeslot last year...anyone remember?

Prison Break also took an entire point drop thanks to the return of Two and a Half Men, so FOX got hit pretty hard overall.
 
be glad we get this season I suppose. Though ratings aren't the all important story. You want to help ensure we get a fourth season make sure to buy and tell everyone you know to buy the season 2 boxed set. if you want to get someone hooked on the show, don't lend them your boxed set. make them go out and buy their own.

besides, you'll be doing them a favor.
 
Ugh. Stupid Americans. Arrested Development opened worse than last year.

since that's the little ones bedtime we had captions on and it said "Theme from 'Arrested Development' plays" at that point.

great show. With Fox running all of the episodes on Fridays the past few weeks I got to catch up on everything I missed. Great stuff, I need the DVD set yesterday.

something I don't quite get yet...the "on the next" things don't actually happen like that, do they? The one for last seasons last episode had some stuff about Oscar not being able to grow his hair back out due to stress or something.

EDIT: duh, already mentioned. Need to read further before I reply.
 
originally the "on the next episode" stuff never happened and were just ridiculous. then when buster lost his hand last season it all happened in the next episode clip and everyone was like "WTF??" because it was just as outrageous as it had always been but it really happened. Now the next episode clips are usually half and half. some of it really happens (in between episodes) and some of it is just goofy to be goofy.

North Shore...then Athens (wtf was that?), and then I think they started showing Nanny 911 and Meet Your New Mom. Not a great timeslot, but its better than Friday nights. Any show that gets a Friday night timeslot is as good as gone.

Athens? No, that was cancelled before it was shot. Wasn't that supposed to be the second serie from the creator of The OC?

I was at the gas station and I saw this guy wearing Family Guy "clothes" like it was from some professional clothing brand. The theme was Stewie.

OMG! I ran over to him and asked, "Hey, where did you get that from?" He said that he made them. I got his phone #.

Me too! Though no one gets the joke, most people just think I have horrible taste in music.

Great episode last night. If you downloaded the show after it aired be sure to read the blog entry on the website the 2nd time they show it (after Micheal says that Uncle Oscar will be all right if he is in prison for one more day).

It says something like: "I started killing the black ants and shouting 'Die you little black bastards die!' and after that I got stabbed, a lot."

I was wondering why I didn't remember it at all. Then they must have just showed that Meet You New Mom show, cause that is the only thing I can remember in that Monday timeslot.

Ugh, wtf is wrong with people. How can anyone stand those standard, generic, totally unfunny sitcoms that seem to dominate the ratings.
 
I assumed the reason AD got hammered was because of 2 MNF games. Weren't the ratings down for everything in that timeslot?

I am hoping AD makes a rebound next week, but I still think the show is on the wrong network.
