Champ - to chew noisily
Chomp - to chew noisily
One definition of bit is a metal mouthpiece used for controlling a horse, and one definition of champ is to bite or chew noisily. These are the senses meant in the idiom champing at the bit, which refers to the tendency of some horses to chew on the bit when impatient or eager. In its figurative sense, it means to show impatience while delayed, or just to be eager to start.
Don't correct me with ignorance.

Season 4 is hilarious. Definitely the worst season but the complexity and depth to it are astounding. Plus it's fucking funny. Bring on season 5.

Yep. I rewatched season 4 this past week and I thought it was absolutely brilliant. It has some stinkers (like the episode where George St. has a sweat lodge), but overall it was way better than season three, which used callback after callback after callback. The depth and layers to season 4 is insane.

No thanks. I couldn't make it through the 4th season, it was just so bad.

Good to know I'm not the only one. Wtf happened? The quality drop from season 2 to 4 is astounding. Stopped after episode 3 because it was just painful to watch. (Reminds me of how the Simpsons went to shit)

Modern comedy sucks

Yup I rewatched S4 a month ago and laughed my ass off. Its aged really well actually. I urge you all to rewatch it again. Its gotten even funnier since it revolved around an election that is so similar to todays nonsense. BUILD THE WALL BUILD THE WALL

S4 still has so many great moments. The layers are in fucking credible. The Oppies. Getaway. John Beard Jr. A new start. list goes on lolol

AHHHHHHHHHHH

Hell fucking yes.

I loved season four, I think the roofie circle bit with Gob had me laughing harder and longer than any other joke in the whole series. Very much looking forward to season five.

I was too distracted by Portia de Rossi in s4. At first it was "Who did they replace her with?", then it turned into "Oh, it's her... Oh dear". I just Googled the show to find her name then found out she married Ellen Degeneres. Bit of trivia for me, maybe some if you too.

I'd be interested in the re-edit of s4 and I will inevitably watch s5, but 4 was not as enjoyable as 1-3. I'm definitely in that camp.

I only watched the show for the first time a few years ago, so season 4 wasn't as huge of a thing for me. Still, it wasn't all that great, so a weird focus on a murder mystery's actually going to be what makes me check this out more than anything else. Hopefully the mystery's actually a good one...

i liked season 4 and think its way better on a rewatch, but its frontloaded with the worst episodes. I dont blame anyone getting to ep 2 or 3 and calling it quits. ep 2 in particular is a slog even if i remember right it has one of my favorite jokes ("you can have my friends!" "... i dont want these")

Didnt they say they were going to have an alternate version of season 4 without the time skips? What happened to that?

Wait, he wants to get it out before November, but hasn't started production. Did I misread that part? Would that even be possible?

Season 4 was bad, no thanks

AD works as an ensemble show, it falls apart when it singularly character focussed.

Butter Girl made me quit Season 5

So many useless side chatters introduced to fill in the void of not having the entire family present in one S4

I found the first third of season 4 a struggle to get through, but once all the plotlines start intersecting and the running jokes keep piling up it becomes glorious.

Hopefully they can get all the actor's schedules to line up a little better than last time. There were a few scenes in s4 where it was painfully obvious the actors in the scene were filmed in separate locations/times.

I didn't know that they were producing a Season 5 but I will kindly say "no thanks."

4 was REALLY bad, I just petered out and never cared about finishing it. It felt forced and stiff, whatever kept the cast's unique chemistry together through the original arc was long gone.

Season 4 was genius in the end. It was rough going at first but once you reach the end the first episodes make more sense.
Definitely a different show but sacrifices had to be made and for what he had to work with I think it was excellent
