If the unit is overheating there's no one to blame but the MS rep, the company reps are the ones who come in and install new hardware or change the demo discs. Also, why haven't PS2 or GCN or Xbox units had problems? I've never noticed any aside from wear and tear on controllers from dumbasses breaking them.

The 360 here hasn't had anything that severe but I have seen plenty of the solid blue models thing someone psted about above. Never an entire character model though. Usually Jack's weapon in King Kong and explosions in CoD2. Don't know about Kameo, I played that thing for all of 2 minutes before I decided Rareware fucking sucks now.

Actually, it was just the jack o' lantern mode. It only happens on halloween. There are random red and green polys on christmas and green ones on arbor day.

If I were Microsoft, I would be very concerned that a tool that is supposed to make people want to buy their product (i.e. The Kiosk) now has pictures circulating on the internet that appear to show it malfunctioning. Overheating, older systems, radio impulses from Marvin the Martian - all irrelevant when compared to Joe Consumer chuckling and saying to his buddies, "Hey look Teddy-Joe, that there new thee-sitty XBOXer is broken! I'd be damned if I was gonna put some of my hard-earned beer money on that piece of shit."
