I'm about to switch to diet soda. i figure cancer > diabetes anyway because we have more money funding finding a cure for cancer

Or, just stop drinking pop?

Does that statement actually make sense to you or were you being satirical?

I do prefer diet cream soda actually, surprisingly better.

Agreed I just had this for the first time last week and it was better than the original. Also I am a supporter of Pepsi Max love that shit

I love Coke Zero. It's a unique animal, because it's sweetened with both aspartame and Ace-K, which is what they use in Europe in place of aspartame in a lot of products.

Logically, there is much less aspartame in Coke Zero than Diet Coke, but who knows. All I do know is it tastes like real Coke, and in my world, that's as good as somebody giving me calorie and fat free Coldstone ice cream.

I do drink quite a bit of water to clean my teeth though. Colas definitely stick around and need to be cleared out.

I've heard conflicting opinions on this topic. Most of my friends are convinced that aspartame causes cancer, but I'm pretty sure their opinions stem from the study that fed ridiculously large amounts of aspartame to rats every day.

What does GAF think? can I has mah diet coke nao?
... Start drinking water, FFS.

i once told my wife as a joke post that she should lay off telling me to drink more water because i drink tons of soda and water is the number 1 ingredient in soda.

and then i saw a doctor say that diet soda is a perfect fine way to get water and this time i told my wife bitch please

I don't know what pop is but I do know that I can't give up soda's. I drink in excess of 300 fluid ounces of the stuff per week. I am addicted to the caffeine/taste....everything. I've tried switching to tea/coffee for caffeine and it's just not the same. I do plan on moving to diet though because the calories/sugar content in regular soda I know is not good for me.

you do realize that there is a high level of sodium in sodas?

What? Like 150mg? I don't really see this as very high... then again, I'm forced to eat at the commons every day. Average sodium levels for the most popular dishes? Only 1500mg......................

LOL quick to judge?
I know, it's GAF

I actually don't drink diet coke very much anymore. The last time I had some was 2 weeks ago. I'm mainly concerned with the amount of fake sugar I put in coffee, which I drink one of every day.

1 serving

Ah ok. I ask because, at least the last time I checked, most cans/bottles of soda list multiple servings to make you think that they have less calories/sugar/everything. I haven't had a can of soda in a while though. So I believe the expert :D

Oh that's funny, I don't usually check b/c I know this stuff is fine for me as long as it's diet but generally in my experience 1 can=1 serving at least for diet.

Empty 20oz diet coke here says in one serving there is 30mg of salt, and 20oz is considered 2.5 servings(lol). So 75mg of salt per 20oz bottle, or 2.5% of your suggested daily value.

Yeah I probably exaggerated. Regardless, it's insignificant in regards to health, but it'll probably rape your wallet.

You misspelled "apartments" but to answer your question, everything is a health risk except eating vegetables and pretending to climb stairs and row a boat among a bunch of well-built men.

when drank that crap... I always felt the need to snake on candy bars one or two hours later because I got fooled of not getting sugar
The trick to that is to *gasp* not eat the candy bar. Cravings subside within a week.

Sucrose = Sugar

The actual unnatural sweetener in Vitamin Water is Crystalline Fructose. Which is kinda like sugar, except that it's double-bad for you.

Damn corrected. I picked the wrong ingredient, forgot what it was called. I remember reading on the bottle that it said it was all natural and then I looked up what Crystalline Fructose actually was.

The weird thing is that along with having low sodium Soda companies actually have to put a warning on their bottle that the drink has "Low amounts of Sodium". I didn't know if this had something to do with the fact that Soda's will not hydrate you and you will likely sweat because you aren't retaining any of the water (Which is not a bad thing, you need sodium).

i drink like a case of diet soda a day and look at me

sometimes i'll get on a big project or something and start working with new people who THINK they drink a lot of soda and i'm like bitch please. knock out a 12-pack of diet coke and a 2-liter of diet mt dew in a day (to be fair, usually a long one)

I used to drink more than that until I got on a diet. I'd drink more than 3 or four cans in an hour.

You joke post to your wife? Is she like a forum wife or something?

Aspartame is in a lot of weight lifting supplements. I've seen it in a few I've bought in the past. Guess I'll give up on that.

Most supplements are rubbish anyway.

Despite no evidence that it's harmful... Hum.
