Oh, Ubi.
Ukraine-based studio? At least they have a ready made excuse if they need to delay the PC release!

better has a lot of variables and many of those depend on budget, in other words, if you have a decent PC their games will run like shit, if you have a monster PC you can achieve 60 frames with mostly everything on the highest setting, ubisoft games are terribly optimized, i had to lock watch dogs to 30 frames to finish it and still the freaking game had stutter, i have a 770 4GB, not the most powerful card but not a slouch either, i think ubisoft games are a better experience on a console, at least until they get programmers that actually know how to code and optimize for pcThey'll still be better than the console versions, but hopefully they'll be better than other Ubisoft PC versions of games. Either way they'll be tied to that horrible Uplay which is an instant skip for me.
In case youre not aware of, Ubisoft Kiev was responsible for the PC versions of Assassins Creed III, Tom Clancys Splinter Cell: Conviction, Assassins Creed IV: Black Flag and Tom Clancys Ghost Recon: Future Soldier. Now all of the aforementioned games had major performance issues, something that definitely worries us.
Black flag wasn't that bad a port was it? very cpu demanding but otherwise had all the bells n whistles?
ps4 it is, i don't plan on loosing more nights trying to set a playable framerate with their ports

I don't even get why someone would even pay $10 for the trash ports Ubisoft puts out at this point. Console or nothing with their games.

So the team behind Ubisoft's worst PC ports is doing their biggest 2014 releases? Wow, awesome. Can't wait to pay $50 for FC4, install it, boot it up, get 20 fps on low/720p, uninstall.

Well then. Both games were already in my "wait and see like six months later" pile. Hopefully patches will be out by then.

never played ac3
splinter cell conviction ran and looked like SHIT
From what I remember Black Flag barely uses the CPU.
They won't stop putting out shit PC releases until we stop give them money for them. That's all there is to it. We all bitch, myself included, and yet we keep buying them, again myself included, so why would they give a shit?
I guess people don't remember...

Fine with me. Renting ensures they don't get my money anyways. The flipside is that if everyone stops buying shit ubi PC ports (of which there aere a lot), the take home message Ubisoft gets is probably going to be "Nobody buys our games, but look how many people pirated them!"
plus the game will be 50 % off by then as well.
This news is annoying hopefully theyve learned to dev and optimize on pc better by now, i was content with far cry 3 performance and was hoping for the same with this game we'll see.
Why do people keep buying their shit.
I mean they're telling us in advance they don't care about you now.

Assassin's 3 ran well on my computer, though I heard there were a ton of bugs for others.
Black Flag ran fantastically, as did Conviction however.
This looks good, as long as they release it at the same time as the goddamn console versions.
locked 30fps for everyone guys, let's party hooray
Its not really 'unfounded' speculation at all. These guys have a history of terrible PC ports.I mean, I like hating on Ubisoft as much as the next guy, but this article is mostly just a bunch of unfounded speculation whose central premise may or may not even be valid in the first place.

I dont remember, what is this?
Its not bad like it seems. Its just a programmer's notice about some PC-specific code in Watch Dogs. What is that?

To be fair, it was only posted to explain a joke. And the two subsequent replies were just being curious, not jumping to conclusions. Can't believe people are latching onto that still. In the context of the code it's obvious its innocuous.
