Assassin’s Creed Valhalla lets you have homosexual romances

Call me when any choice you make leads to an actual full uncensored XNXX / Pornhub worthy XXX scene.

Vikings could be gay on the downlow as long as they had a heterosexual relationship and were expected to reproduce.

what I wanted to say after is that regardless I feel romances in games are always terrible and I hate them regardless, but at least these aren't forced as well

Ubisoft has every right to publish this content - it's their game and it is rated M afterall, not that will stop kids from playing. And this goes far beyond Ubisoft, it's our entire media, but it's disturbing when a game like ASSASSIN'S CREED, a game about traveling through time and murdering people, feels the need to include the option fuck another guy in the ass.

Kids being bombarded with gay and trans content ultimately has consequences. Don't act shocked when more and more kids grow up to be the equivalent of Resetera moderators - useless people stuck in a perpetual victim complex and unable to function in society.

Not saying they are well portrayed or poorly made, it's just a cliché of the genre that Ubi is indulging.

I can't believe that for years gamers had to cheat their way to add sex into games, through hacks and texture packs ; the sex scene at the beginning of the Nomad Soul was considered a small revolution, a landmark of games finally becoming more mature. And now people are complaining about those same scenes...

It's not that people are homophobic. It's got nothing to do with homophobia. Ubisoft are making it about homophobia, not the players.

It's that the massive reveal of one of the hottest franchises nowadays starts off with a focus on gay sex.

Gay sex in an adventure stealth platformer game about time-travelling for the teenage boy market. Yes, that will cure homophobia.

It's like if you wanted to buy a new house, and when you took a tour, the agent says "And in this bedroom you can have gay sex!" even though you're there with your wife and 2 kids.

Edit: The only AC I've ever played is 5 mins of AC France. Looks like I'm not missing out on anything. Fucking hope they don't add leather-covered love-wagons to Rocket League to rack in the pink pounds.

There is a way to gain entertainment from them. Choose all the flirt options with the characters then lead them on but as soon as they show interest or confess, turn down and friendzone them. Almost 99% of the time this leads to some really hilarious dialogue and the characters getting pissed off at the protagonist. Like back in Dragon Age: Origins, I made the Warden (player character) show interest in Morrigan so at one point at camp she says flirtatiously "It's so cold in my tent all alone" so I chose the reply "Then find another blanket".

The games are rated for higher ages such as young adults (M rating). People who can grasp concepts such and these and form their own opinion on them whether they agree or disagree with whatthey see, read or played. If children are playing this game and get confused then that is stricly a parent problem in the first place for letting someone under age play a mature rated game with mature content such as killing, sexuality, relationships etc.

Yeah it's also true for many other cultures, like Greeks/Macedonians. They didn't consider sexuality with the same homo/hetero separation that we have in our culture, there is a social status attached to it and to the way it's done, hence the "active/passive" difference. If you read Aristophanes comedies, you'd see that homosexual gestures are even expected when it's with younger men (remember reading at school the part where some guy asked his friend "how come you were so cold with my son the other day, didn't even tickle his balls !")

Unless they portray the Rassragr as the subhumans Vikings believed them to be, and no way they will, this is absolutely some woke agenda bullshit. I also would like the option to pillage towns and rape their women in the name of historically accuracy.

Personally, Assassin's creed doesn't need romance. It needs more interesting things to do than a change of culture.

Assassin's Creed much like Fallout and other games have never done romances well. they're just barely fleshed out additions for those who want to participate in them. The dialogue options even allow or disallow participation.

People who complain come across as those people who cant resist clicking the option and are looking to blame other people for their choices. That or we have a bunch of god-fearing senior citizens who should not be playing as heathens to begin with.

Buck up princess and stop clicking on things you claim you don't want to participate in.

What you're saying might well be true, but the game is promoting healthy gay relationships, the opposite of what you're saying and the main reason people are laughing at the wokeness.

Ask yourself, is the definition of Ubisoft's vision out of place in the context? If yes, then that's the very definition of wokeness.

If it's a relationship then no, it's definitely a woke agenda. I'm open minded about homosexuality and it doesn't bother me one bit.

But if they have Viking couples where everyone knows they're gay then I highly doubt it would be accepted.

I found the "sex scenes" in Odyssey quite hilarious... pick the heart dialogue option -> door closes -> screen fades to black -> post sex-scene conversation. Not to mention they're completely pointless, you don't get any "rewards" and you don't end up in a stable relationship with anyone.

If anyone has an agenda here it might be Stevivor. It looks like they broke out this small part from a larger interview and made a big deal out of it.

"You can choose how to approach them any way you see fit" doesn't exactly scream "shoving it down peoples throats" to me. You can discuss how fitting homo romances are in this setting but it doesn't really seem all that woke to me.

Well we're in agreement then. I highly doubt there were healthy gay relationships back then. And if there were, they'd be highly secretive.

I'm all for people being who they want to be, but I'm like most and say that you can't just change history.

If that's the case then why did Mafia 3 have race issues as part of the storyline? Historical games made by our modern beliefs are ridiculous. Homosexuality is something they wish to show others that it's normal, yet they show racism as it was like it's really bad. If that's the case then why are they highlighting it?

Shouldn't they just make historical games and/or movies where someone is black or gay and have no references about it? Sounds stupid doesn't it?
