Assassin's Creed 3 is pretty horrible

how is the story in the tyranny dlc? is it worth me just jumping straight to part 3 so I have all the abilities?

nah, it's best to play it through in order. part 1 starts very slowly, but it'll all be worth it.

I played through ACIII on my iMac (bootcamped with Windows 8.1) at 60fps, felt sooo good. I was sad when I realized that AC4 wouldn't run at 60fps on my computer. Now I'm playing that on an Xbox One at 30fps =/

I think AC3 was better game than AC4. The ship battles are fun in AC4, but the main missions were lot less interesting. Hunting for song sheets was a great idea in AC4, but unfortunately all the other collecting stuff was totally meaningless. I hated the underwater levels and all the eavesdropping and following missions. The story in AC3 was a bit better, especially if you ignore all the present day stuff. And the Homestead stuff was great.

Ok, AC3 was the first AC I played, it may be the reason I like it better. Maybe if AC4 was released an year later with more polish I would have liked it more.

Finished AC3, and was left unsatisfied. I wouldn't say this is bad on a technical level, but man is this game underwhelming and disappointing and just peters out. The final chase and the finish against Charles Lee are so annoying. And that Desmond ending, ugh.

I have the Tyranny of King Washington, but I don't know if I wanna even play it.

It feels like a game Ubisoft just tossed Money at without thinking about how it was being spent.

It looks great. Really great. You can tell they put a lot of effort into that part of it.

The world is huge and the game is full of stuff. Its just a shame all the things to do feel disconnected and some are so hidden away and unexplained that you could play through the entire game and never even realise it was there.

Also Connor is just a black hole of emotions. I still think AC4 was probably just going to be "AC3 brotherhood" with Connors sea adventures before Ubi realised what a dud that character was with the public.

And yeah. The Desmond stuff is maybe the most anti climactic thing I have ever seen. Even Mass Effect 3 stuck its landing better then that mess.

i read somewhere that work on black flag started in 2011, so I don't think this was the case. but the end of AC3 did leave the book open on connor, which has seemingly now been closed if the abstergo/ubisoft comments in IV are anything to go by. a shame as he was the most well realised protagonist the series has had yet.

yeah, I actually liked Connor. He seemed real, I don't know another word to describe it haha.
