what i'm surprised about is that no one on gaf remembers that ac 2-2 was announced a while ago (ezio, in rome, multiplayer mode, calendar 2010) and the only thing new here is the title
Also in response to concerns about AC3, I wouldn't be worried. AC2 was made by 4 teams. One team made the town simulation. One team made the Assassin's Tombs. Two teams made the game. Odds are that this game is using only one of the teams and that it's more about production pipeline management. If you know you need 4 teams for AC3 next year, and you know that you only need 2 teams for AC2 this year, then you've got 2 free teams who don't have enough time to do a project from scratch. Meanwhile, if this game can push 1-1.5 million and keep brand awareness high before AC3, it's all good for Ubisoft.
