Assassin's Creed III: Liberation - Story Trailer

Last year AC: Revelations was sub $40 in less than a month after release. So AC3 should follow suit. Ubisoft has yet to show the same aggressive pricing for their Vita titles. Soooo yea, good choice.
Is it really? In Germany at least Vita game prices drop like a rock on Amaon:

Only few games are a lot over 30€, buying Vita games is really a cheap endeavour on Amaon ^^.

This game looks like the promise of the Vita fulfilled.

Too bad it'll sell fifty copies, unless I'm underestimating AC's potential to be a system-seller.

Since E3 I've been calling ubisoft UBIGODS. After following the release of this game the title is still fitting. Damn, I miss my vita =

ubi are on a good streak in my book, the draconian DRM has been scrapped, AC3 looks incredible, they seem to be trying to offer something really great to vita gamers, watch dogs at e3 looked innovative,
the uplay client for pc is not the best yet but it makes managing retail copies of their games much easier, and far cry 3 looks like a blast.

they need to stop with the pc delays though, it doesnt do anything and the pr bs about them trying to make the best product possible has been rendered useless with how GRFS launched for PC.

i have a feeling naughty dog will reclaim their NAUGHTYGODS title with the last of us though, one of the few remaining reasons i still own a PS3.
with that logic i should be thinking about buying a vita but i just cant justify the £200 pricetag

Fuck. I think I might have figured out where Ubisoft might go next with this franchise: Assassin's Creed Liberation II: Paris.

Think about it. A lot of people have already talked about how perfect a setting the French Revolution is for Creed. According to the wiki, Liberation ends nine years before the storming of the Bastille, and I'm going to assume that Aveline is fluent in French.

Well, she's half French, so :P

Actually I'm not so sure about that, unless AC3L gets a huge success, because considering the sales of the Vita so far, I fear it mightbe difficult to recoup the costs for this game. I don't mean this in a mean way, it's just that production values for AC3L seem so totally over the top for the userbase it's targetting...

It's more likely that Connor will be the one going to Paris.

I agree, if this game can't sell it would paint a bleak picture for the platform for such support. Super popular franchise, exclusive title, new protagonist and story line, launching close to the shopping season, insane production values. If it reviews well there should be no barrier to success.

it will sell, no piracy for vita yet, and I still believe that gamer will buy hardware for a game if it's good enough. maybe not a day 1 breakout hit, but if reviews are good, word of mouth will spread and people will buy it, especially since they have a bundle for it. obviously it's not going to reach console number, but it will definitely be Vita number 1 title for that month.

The budget is probably less than we'd expect. This game is pretty much the definition of how Sony sold third parties on Vita. It runs on Anvil Next (the same engine that powers AC3) and reuses a lot of the same assets as the console game.

Yeah but a Mohawk would kinda stick out over there. I'd rather have a French assassin in a game about the French Revolution. Maybe a new assassin might be nice, but we already have Aveline, who is of French descent.

I really hope I can assassinate a target by feeding them to the gators somehow. That would be funny to just throw the target right into one like a baddass Bond villain.

Still need some Vita friends though so I can really enjoy the MP when it comes out. Add "Demolitio" on PSN unless you want to be fed to the gators.

So this game comes out next week... do we know anything about MP? There seem to have been a barrage of "making of" videos for AC3, but only one, two minute dev diary for Liberation (in addition to the handful of trailers). What's going on? This kind of silence makes me nervous.

OT is up.

All we know is that it'll be tailored to suit the Vita. No concrete details have been announced, at least none that I could find.

Well I hope so, would be cool if western devs would treat handhelds seriously from here on out. I mean a man can dream, can't he?

lol SCEA?
Well they push it in the US as well. Bundle and everything.
