- No Desmond Miles. .
So anybody think that the next-gen versions of this game will look much better than an HD version of the current gen assets?

- No Desmond Miles. You control an employee of Abstergo Entertainment, a subsidary of Aspergo. They're researching the life of Edward Kenway to make...a video game.

The main reason i liked this IP is because Desmond story. What the hell were they thinking?
And just when i thought AC3 was a disaster. Man, can this series sink any lower than that.
I used to be a big AC fan since the very beginning, but now after AC3 fiasco, i think i'm done.
Abstergo has his death body, my guess it's they figured a way to access his genetic memories, even if he is dead.... If I'm not wrong, any descendant of Connor should have his grandfather memories.
Wait, what?- No Desmond Miles. You control an employee of Abstergo Entertainment, a subsidary of Aspergo. They're researching the life of Edward Kenway to make...a video game.
Can someone REALLY be an Assassin and a pirate at the same time?
I mean, really.
Ubisoft likes pirates now? So the game won't have DRM on PC anymore?

Wait - he's Welsh? LOL! I really, really hope he sounds like he's from the Valleys. That would be brilliant.
A badass, womanising Welshman. Day one.
Yeah the series is getting tired and all that, but to be honest, the very idea of an open-world pirate game is enough for me to at least try this out when it releases. The previews throwing around terms like "systemic gameplay" only make it sound better.
The part about being able to hire a crew to maintain your ship sound the most interesting to me. For a long time now I've been waiting for a game to rip off the mechanic from Skies of Arcadia where you could boost your ship's stats by hiring crew members with various attributes.
I'm still waiting on a game that does all this stuff, but in space.

Older, more sophisticatd Evilore?
Oh hell yeah! The worst thing about both Ezio and Connor was that they were generally middle men in their own stories, which seemed awful to me.

100% what I've been waiting for. A lot of great elements from Skies of Arcadia seem to be present here which is why I'm interested.
Building up your ship, recruiting members, ship battles, exploration via sailing around a world.
All things I've been waiting ages for Final Fan... I mean any game to do. It may not be airships but if it all works out and is fun I'll be plenty happy sailing the seas.
I really hope they let you fully customize the ship. I want to make the ship mine --personalize it.
edit: never played any of the AC games up to this point. This ship/sailing stuff is what's pulling me in. I hope it's a big focus of the game.
I still don't know why they never did this in Mass Effect, much less ship-to-ship combat.

Just saw a commercial of this on TV.
I was like "Ubisoft advertising the game months before release is a thing all devs should do"
You don't really have to. They're way more accessible than you think. There isn't a brick wall of story knowledge required; anything you need to know is explained right when you start. You may get less out of it, but you won't ever be lost.I'm never going to catch up with this series....
Wow really? Was it a CG trailer? Sounds really early...
