It's ridiculous how good this trailer is. The editing, the way the camera was unbolted from the environments, the angles on combat, the VO... And yet, when you play the game, it's somehow better than that trailer suggests. In fact, with the DJ Shadow trailer, I'd venture that Uncharted has the best trailers in history. Uncharted 2 is going to be INSANE.

Though I have to admit the TV commercials for Prince of Persia, Mirror's Edge and especially Gears 2 were all fantastic. Not really trailers, I know, but still. The first time I saw the full Gears 2 commercial, it gave me goosebumps. The ad team for that deserves a beer from me.

ya the dj shadow edit of assasin's creed commercial is pretty much it when it comes to game trailers.

Also, the Rendez-vous trailer in my opinion would of been perfect if when marcus lifts the locust's chin while he holds him, he should of used the his fingers to make the locust smile. And maybe throw in a little shot of Marcus smirking. I think that would of been really bad ass.

I also really like the last day edit of the gears of war 2 commercial.

And the uncharted trailer posted above is quality.

Wow, this is a great trailer. Totally makes it look like a legendary Game of the Forever experience, not something to wipe your ass with when you run out of toilet paper.

Of course, I don't have a physical copy of Assassin's Creed, so I'd have to take the hard drive out of my computer and wipe my ass with that instead, and that'd be unfair to the 150 or so good games I have on there.

What you call excitement, I call the most hideous example of a collective nerdgasm ever recorded. It was even worse if you were there as people who would whoop and cheer whenever Reggie would spout out some lame show of faux-bravado while rattling off slides completely lost their shit.

Solid trailer to be sure, but it's completely ruined by the people in attendance. When it happened, I was looking for the nearest exit. It just felt... retarded.

[edit] Oooh, banKai, I'd completely forgotten about the original Mirror's Edge debut trailer (yet apparently remembered the TV commercial?), good call. No trailer has ever grabbed me like that -- it seriously gave me goosebumps every time I watched it -- and it was a combination of it all just being a run straight from a level and that music. Oh god, that MUSIC. The instrumental version of that track is still easily the best. It's just a shame you have to beat the game to unlock it in the media player. Well, that or just let the title screen sit there.
