:lol Poor Patrice, Ubisoft cut off his nuts. He deserves to work at a better company.

Deserve has nothing to do with it.

Is this for real? How appropriate. :lol

Oh man. That was low. X) Still can't believe this thing actually coming out. I think I'm going to stick with the 360 version on this one given it's from UBI.

2 pages and no Jade... What's going on?

I'm not terribly interested in this game. I'll see what my friends think of it before making any moves.

Isn't majority of Ubisoft shares owned by EA?

so through my logic: UBISOFT=EA=Games with beautiful concepts but buggy as hell?

ASS-ASS-IN GREED!!!!

I really want this game but man too many games, Rockband and Mass effect the week after, call of duty, guitar hero 3, ace combat and VF5 2 weeks priors Damn the end of oct/nov is ridiculous lol.

For you.

Also despite Raymonds hotness I'm still not sure if I want to preorder this game or wait for reviews prior to buying it. It looks fun but I'm worried all the bugs and kinks won't be worked out before release.

UBI please push it back... there is already plenty in November and it would make the perfect January game for me. Do it for me UBI, for old times sake.

edit: Jade <3<3<3

Oh god, I hope this game is good. It had so much promise, but at this point I'm just waiting for the train wreck.

It's an Ubisoft game, dodgy QA is all but guaranteed.

The Prince of Persia games all ran pretty smooth IIRC (which i probably don't)

same team so maybe?

I'm keeping hope it'll be good. The latest previews have been amiable so hopefully they really do succeed at making this game great. The potential is there, let's hope the execution follows through as well.

Does this game still only have the one level? Did they put any gameplay in it yet?

Why does it seem like this game is still super early?

Game takes place in three cities: Jerusalem, Acre and Damascus, which is more than one level.

and the only thing i hated about the recent videos is the rampant screen tearing, if they can get it fixed then all is fine for me.

UbiSoft's chick strategy is quite interesting, or something. Aside from the Frag Dolls deal and Jade Raymond here, if you go to the forum for your common Ubi game, there's a good chance the majority of moderators will be (or are acting as) female.

Maybe they can get away by labeling it another matrixy effect?

Not that I'm to interested in this game... but I think its funny how Gaf is super worried about this game just because Ubisoft has refused to show all the bits an pieces of it. I like that they've hidden pretty much everything from people.

I used to work in QA let me tell you something. I'm 100% positive the testers are doing their job. I'm sure tearing problems, glitches, slowdown, are all in their database. The thing is, QA can't make them fix it. Blame the DEVELOPER, not QA.

POP2 had a fatal bug right before the final boss that has no fix (god knows I've tried) other than starting the game over completely. Smooth indeed.

I'm not ragging on staff doing [or not] their jobs properly, I'm ragging on the executive end that allows for buggy and unpolished games to be cleared for retail release. It's a regular occurrence with Ubisoft, and I doubt this will be any different.

This is probably going to be day one for me, 360 of course. However, I have no idea how I'm coming up with the hard cash for the month of November. Too many great games. GH III, COD4, AC and Mass Effect all looking to be day one=the hurt. Good thing I'm still waiting on picking up a PS3 until next year sometime because Drake's would be in the mix as well.

Ive never understood buying a bunch of games day one (if you complain re: having enough$$$)

You still need TIME to finish/play them all...
