Assassin's Creed Rogue Gameplay

Awesome!!!! I 100% Black Flag. Can't wait to do it again.
Although, I am more excited for Unity. (;
edit: the naval combat was insane. I am replaying AC 3 right now and feel spoiled by IV's NC. But Rogue looks even better!
The second video is very choppy...especially as Shay maneuvers the wheel. I hope it isn't the framerate. Hopefully it's just an editing error.
Day freaking one. I just wish there was a PS4 version with a locked framerate, better resolution and better foliage like AC IV PS4.

Hey thats Haytham standing next to Shay on the ship in both videos. Neat.

Yeah, absolutely. Game looks fun, actually might be the first game I buy for 360 in like three years if it doesn't end up being upported. I mean, the alternative would be missing out on a major Assassin's Creed game, and screw that.

A grenade launcher, a pumpgun, red barrels you can shoot, a gas mask

Why isn't there a tank yet?

You should play Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood.

This looks pretty good for last gen but damn I can feel the sub 30 framerates and they're reusing a lot of assets from Blackflag

I love how the assassin Ai uses the enviroments against you and are extremely dangerous if they catch you off guard. It looks decent enough.

Was more excited for Rouge than Unity but after seeing this Unity definitly seems better, but maybe the story in Rouge will be really good.

This is pretty smart, Black Flag was too popular not to make direct sequels to it.

Might be the first Assassin's Creed game I've bought since 2.

Would not be surprised if an current gen release hits sometime in March next year, just before their financial year is over.

I was hyped for Unity before I watched this.

This actively made me less hyped for anything related to AC. It looks quite generic and clumsy.

I guess the main character is a templar? It's kind of disappointing that he doesn't seem to really play any differently at all. Huge missed opportunity there.

You should play Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood.

Don't tell me that there is a tank already :lol

I remember beginning Brotherhood but not finishing it; was kind of done with the franchise after AC2, but I must admit that at least Unity looks decent. Rogue seems to be a continuation of Blackflag.

So basically Black Flag 2. And since I liked pretty much everything there except the story, I'm actually pretty excited for Rogue, because this one looks to have an awesome story.

The game is out for some time but I've never seen this segment; incredible. They even call this a tank instead of giving it some fantasy name.

Mindblown

I have nothing to say

What is with the disappointment? Were people expecting anything BUT a generic semi-sequel to Black Flag? In that case you got way too excited for nothing. Your true new Assassins Creed game is on next-gen consoles, this is just something created by Ubisoft to not miss out on the money the PS3/360 audience wants to spend.

Not that getting Black Flag 1.5 is a bad thing, because the original game was pretty awesome, but expecting anything more interesting is ridiculous.

WHY is this game not coming to next-gen? I have no intention of playing another Assassin's Creed on PS3, but I'd buy this in a heartbeat on PS4. Unless there's a 'remaster' in the works, it's a really, really weird move by Ubi.

It actually makes sense when you think about it. The mainstream consumer would get confused by two AC's being released for the same system at the same time. That would create a nightmare for the marketing department at Ubisoft. One AC for each gen is easy to understand.

I am 100% sure it will be ported to next-gen consoles early 2015, especially since Black Flag was on those systems already and this is the exact same engine.

Liberation was the same thing, a mini-copy of III done by Ubisoft Sophia with slightly different story. Not sure what else people expected here.

After AC4, this game looks more appealing than Unity.

That looks really fun, but after playing AC4 on PS4 I can't go back to a PS3 AC.

Just gonna have to hope for the remaster next year

Going from the new mechanics of Unity back to the old style in Rogue is going to be jarring. Not to mention going from current gen graphics back to last gen.

These new games are being released in the wrong order. Hmph

Judging by these videos it's already been ported up, lol.

Fuck that tank level! Anyways...

If the story and characters are decent, I might give this a go when the price drops. I liked the direction the series went with AC4 so hopefully its still making strides and getting more Haytham content is compelling. I wish we could have played all of AC3 with him.

I would be perfectly okay with Assassin's Creed kinda splitting off in two directions. Mainline series does whatever it wants, but then we also have the Black Flag-esque games. I basically just don't want to give up my pirate ship.

It was painful to watch that especially after AC Unity. It seems Rogue is so damn content with the formula it's just another wrapping of AC4.

I've always wanted to play as a Templar, but after this I'm just dehyped. And how ironic are we not seeing a PC version of this title. Fucking Ubisoft.

This looks like the most shameless copy/paste in the series yet.
It certainly looks that way. In the Arctic naval gameplay, even the short cut scene after commandeering a ship is exactly the same as AC4.

I know I will still end up buying this at some point, but Unity looks much more promising.

If Haytham's just gonna be on your ship most of the time, I'm happy. His character was one of the highlights of AC3.
