Kassandra is the canonic eagle bearing misthios. But to curb your enthusiasm, it´s not her. The mentioned character was already in other trailers and Darby McDevitt already replied to multiple questions that it isn´t the person we think it is. I mean it can still be her and he just lied about it, but as of now and what is known of the lore of other games how things developed, it would not really make sense to utilize her, especially when the connection between eivor and the hidden ones is shown in this trailer which is the hidden one who visits them in norway and seemingly accompanies eivor.
 
I started as Kassandra, but her dialogue just did not seem to fit with her. I dunno. So I switched to Alexios.

Either way, Origins with Bayek and Aya was an infinitely better story.

More like a generic god of dark souls Witcher mmo.

I would love a remake of the first one with the gameplay evolution of assassins creed 2, the peak of the series
 
Just looks boring. Would be cool if they put into a futuristic setting instead. Granted I don't really follow the series. Played the first one but never saw the appeal.
 
I'm nearly finished with Odyssey - after two years. Looking forward to Valhalla.... but I just don't see how it's going to match Odyssey.

That said, the two-handed fighting mechanic looks fantastic - much better than anything The Witcher 3 ever had.

Game feels quite choppy in the video. Need to see proper 60fps footage from console versions to decide a purchase out of me!

This is how Assassin's Creed is since Origins. You have levels and enemies have theirs. If you are even couple levels behind, you'll be hacking one dude countless times before you take them down.

AC is now about grinding levels.

Looks dreadful and the games are now so far from the originals that they should have just made a new IP.

I will still buy day one as I always get swept up in the hype close to release so I'm part of the problem..
 
this is the origins team? that will explain the poor character models and the atrocius facil movement capture,oddissey did that much better

This, the dialogue just seem to fit Alexios better.
There was comedic lines that just fell flat with her but Alexios nailed it with the facial expressions to go with it.
Are they still using men to model the women?

Will get it for sure as with every AC. They're never amazing but I enjoy them.

Still can't get over that the dude is called "Eivor". Dont know about the rest of the Scandinavian countries but in Sweden that is 100% an old woman's name. It's the equivalent of playing a tough male warrior called "Susan" or something.
 
The latest footage doesn`t look terrible anymore, just very very generic, Ubisoft style.

So probably more a month 12 than a day 1 purchase...if at all.
 
This looks pretty bad even for ubisoft standards. But considering how weak next gen launch is, I may try it out.
 
Wow! No chance this will be a day one purchase. The game just looks so uninspiring and bland. I'm so fed up of open boring rinse and repeat open world crap.

I may pick this one up in a sale, 6 months down the road If I need something to play when waiting for good games to be released.

I was gonna give it a pass since Odyssey bored me to death after like 50 hours (still put in like 140 hours) but as a massive Vikings and Last Kingdom fan I cannot fucking wait to get bored again.
 



Legit cannot wait for this, looks gorgeous. Vibes of History Channels "Vikings" to infinity. So much to explore, the world Ubi created is insanely beautiful 😍
 
I will be honest here, I got tired of the same old assassin's creed formula.
Só I stopped playing after black flag.
I bought and played both origins and odyssey and I loved them bouth.

And by the way I have all the games and I just can't play the old ones, awful to me.
But I always buy used because ubisoft is a bitch
 
I like most of the Assassin's Creed's, but i really liked the direction change with Origin's and Odyssey to bigger open worlds and adding some rpg elements, so i'm really looking forward to Valhalla and as i'm English also, i'm going to play it!.
 
Not day one for me. This looks like a "it's on sale, Ubi patched the technical problems, and the forecast is for cold rain all weekend" type of release somewhere down the line.
 
It's odd, some things look way better then before, like certain lighting or environments, but others like character models and animations look bad. I can't see why they would deliberately downgrade it, so I guessed they are rushing it.
 
I'm never been a fan of the AC series, like the theme and worlds just found the gameplay so clunky..
This looks like a HUGE step backwards.
 
The new trailer looks really, really good. Character models are better and graphics overall feel more sharper. Can't wait.
