Wheres my MGS4 blowout?
Xun said:Maybe I'm nuts, but we don't actually know if Snake really did kill Big Boss do we? For all we know it could have been a decoy being controlled by either the Patriots or Big Boss.
Or maybe I'm just stupid?

WTF oO That's just wrongis this kind of adverts common at YouTube now?unless it's a Kojima prank, but I dare not enter
EDIT: Weird, why can't I find Assassin's Solid under most viewed videos at YouTube? It has had more views in a shorter time frame than most if not all videos on that list.Perhaps it's due to slow update?
traveler said:Perhaps so, but I still consider CoH superior to both in that regard. It's not like I'm criticizing MGS4, though; I think its "battlefield atmosphere" is fantastic. I'm just responding to all the hyperbole in here about how it "blows every other battlefield away."
I know most of MGS's story is based upon that, but this is Kojima we're on about here. It's entirely possible that we've been fooled into thinking Big Boss was really killed. Just because his remains are used for gene therapy experiments doesn't give us 100% proof that the Big Boss we knew in MGS3 really died.Vaandaviii said:Snake not only really killed big boss, but also most of MGS story is based on that.

Big Boss is dead and your theory sucks, sorry.Xun said:I know most of MGS's story is based upon that, but this is Kojima we're on about here. He was burnt to death by Solid SnakeXun said:All I'm doing is just stating that this is Kojima we're on about here. So ANYTHING is possible.
And I wouldn't really call it a theory, more of a "what if". Because after playing through all of the MGS games several times, I'm 99% sure he really did die, but I don't think we should count out the possibility of him still being alive just yet.
zoukka said:Is the ring officially gone? Without any kind oh HUD and no map would be the sweetest!
Why should I get banned for my opinion? I know it was pretty stupid to expect Gekkos to be like in the cut-scenes, blowing walls, jumping, ramming after you, but I'm an MGS fanboy so what are you gonna do :/
The-Switcher said:I got banned for a week, because I said it looked like Okami Wii was gonna have crappy waggle combat.
Still waiting for an apology, NeoGAF.
o rly i didnt kno that lolYoboman said:He was burnt to death by Solid Snake
That theory is so abstract and based on nothing that it's hardly worth discussingXun said:o rly i didnt kno that lol
Jesus.
Of course I knew that, I've played through the Metal Gear games countless amounts of times. All I stated was that we shouldn't totally deny the fact that he could still be alive, we simply do not know if Snake killed the REAL Big Boss.
The Patriots could be controlling the whole thing for some unknown reason, we simply don't know yet, and we won't until June 12th.
dabookerman said:Due to the lack of a rumble feature (an important part in Metal Gear Solid titles) from the PlayStation 3 during much of the development, the game had been designed with a new feature: a white "Threat Ring," that visibly vibrates when sound is made nearby.[7] As a series known for extensive use of rumble, when Sony announced the reintroduction of a new DualShock 3, MGS4 was announced as one of the first major games to make use of the force feedback capabilities.[8] Kojima has stated that if the rumble was implemented, he may remove the Threat Ring.
I LIKE IT
zoukka said:YES. Though what about SIXSUX gamers?
Lakitu said:I've never really liked the threat ring, I hope they removed it. It just seems in the way for some reason. Maybe I'm being picky.
I just have a hard time seeing what rumble got to do with it, isn't sound aldreadydoing what this HUD thingy is about?stuburns said:I agree, there is no logic to having HUD like data being in the actual 3D world.
Kojima did say that if Sony brought back the rumble he'd consider removing the ring. I hope they at the least make it optional.
I think it'd be great if there were NO HUD elements, except when you were using the solid eyestuburns said:I agree, there is no logic to having HUD like data being in the actual 3D world.

Sound radar made sense on the PSP but it's something else to play in front of a TV unless the sound is mono. ^.^

Can't you turn them off in the cockpit?stuburns said:Hell yeah, HUDs have got to be on the way out now, it's really awful on GT5P, that's the first one thats ever really annoyed me. But I'm hoping it's optional in MGS4.

Seiken said:Shit, that TP-HUD-screenshot is awful :/
Endymion said:Also, appreciation goes to Kojima for not showing the usual trailer 95% CG, 4% cut-scene, 1% actual gameplay (in sliding stills). The video was really special.
Vaandaviii said:No CG ever in MGS saga.
Even that was all realtime I think MGS3 (it was interactive for sure) and only bits and pieces of MGS2 intro were CG. For the most part that intro too was composed of game's own cutscenes.Leidenfrost said:Excepting Kyle Cooper's work, of course.

Well, if you replay MGS, when Snake drills Colonel Campbell about why the White House won't give Liquid Big Boss' corpse, the Colonel replies with a suspicious "..."Xun said:I know most of MGS's story is based upon that, but this is Kojima we're on about here.
