Trauma Team gameplay video on surgery!

Looks like it'll be the first of a series of vids covering all the different gameplay types:

this is my kind of game

How did I miss this thread? Curse how fast gaf moves! All the new stuff sounds great.

I feel really bad for New Blood, reviewers slammed that game way too hard. I remember reading EGM's review and feeling bad that people who didn't know would read it and get such a negative impression of the game.

Interested in seeing what they do with the other classes. Also glad to see they removed the timer and are making the game more accessible.

Hadn't seen that video before, but it has my hype levels rising :D I love this series and Trauma Team is definitely one of my most anticipated games of the year :)

I can hear Dragona's screaming again about needing to unlock hard. :lol

I'm so glad the co-op is coming back, and that this is coming out soon. New Blood was probably the most fun my girlfriend and I had ever had playing a video game together, and we've been dying for another one.

Eh, I'm still keeping an open mind but I don't like the direction that they're heading in with this game. I'm just worried that the difficulty will be toned down, even on hard mode.

I love the cutscene style though.

I hate to double post but didn't notice this when I skimmed the email from the newsletter.

The game has been delayed. It will now hit May 18th for NA.

I wonder if Nintendo are gonna release this in EU? And if they do hopefully not a year late like with the Trauma Centre games.

Curses! *fist shake*

The wait will be worth it, though, it's refreshing to see new stuff added. And despite there no longer being a time limit, I still expect the same balls to the wall difficulty. :D

Yeah, I saw the first screen about a month ago and already had my way with it. er, uh I mean, I saw it and moved on. Yeah

Yeah.

Atlus showed off the Diagnostics and First-response modes this morning, so I've got a new preview up over at 4 Color Rebellion.

Gabriel Cunningham, the star of the diagnostics mode, is unmistakably the House of the Trauma Team cast. Beyond the obvious - that they’re both Diagnosticians - Cunningham smokes, swaggers, and screams at his patients. He’s a brilliant man with a few secrets in his past (I caught a reference to a child he barely knows during my brief look at the game). Of course, you’ll need to be just as brilliant to complete his levels, which are all about finding the smallest of clues and picking up on patterns in medical tests.

Some new screenshots:

and now emcee looks at the rest of the screens and makes a post depicting his reactions with the use of said screens

as I thought, there is no difficulty level for Diagnostics. there better be plenty of missions then. this and the Forensics are heavy PW stuff. not bad

Aram said 15 hours for forensics and diagnostics combined, so about 7-8 missions each.

That Paramedic....

Now, I'm not normally one for anime or anything, but the skin and green eyes. They do it for me. Bought!

Black? I assumed Mexican 'cause of her last name.
Oh, hmm... I originally assumed 'black' because her skin tone reminded me of New Blood but you have a good point about her last name. I guess she is Mexican then. Its always so hard to tell with Japanese games, at times.

I was just thinking about this game today. After the 1st one on the DS I burnt myself out but man am I excited for this one. It falls off my radar until I see one little reference somewhere and I'm back to wanting it.

I got stuck on that stupid bomb bit in the DS one >.< So damn hard or I just suck......
i was stuck on that for the longest time.

Namely, in the end part, where you have to cut the 15 or so wires in 15 seconds.

I have a tremor, so that level was a bitch for me.

On a related note, do you really think the special "disease" will be gone from here? I seriously doubt it.

And also, I believe people who kept on yapping "sci-fi alien diseases ruin it" never played the sequels (New Blood and Trauma Center 2). They were essentially toned down.

Why is a "diagnostician" and an endoscopist part of a trauma team?

Internal medicine on a trauma team? :lol :lol :lol :lol :lol :lol :lol :lol :lol :lol

Atlus should've went with this group:

General surgeon- rip out the bleeding spleen with your hands, perform emergency department thoracotomies!
Neurosurgeon- Burr holes! Intracranial decompression! Ever wanted to cut out a piece of skull?
Orthopedic surgeon- External pin fixation, reduce that open femur fracture, fasciotomies!
Emergency medicine- watch everyone else do the fun stuff! Um, slap some EKG pads on!
Anesthesiologist- intubation, central lines, push some propofol
Radiologist/Interventional- find the fracture, the bleeding, the injury! Embolize it!

Now that be a true trauma team.

I think it's gone from this game, but not permanently from the franchise. They've really been playing up the semi-realism angle. I *could* see some kind of recurring disease outbreak, but I seriously doubt it'll be some "alien" creature that wiggles around the body.

Healing touch is completely gone, too.

Then allow me to seriously allay your serious doubts. The "alien viruses" are seriously absent from Trauma Team.
Seriously.

Surely you cant be serious?

It was fun while it lasted. =/

Still, I do hope they make references. I mean, Naomi Kimishima did operate on GUILT patients.
