Way way early nitpick .. I dont like the blue, screams BLU-RAY!
 
Toys look well put together, at least the mech and the vehicle. Animals aren't exactly impressive. Matter of fact the whole toy display looks like any CGI cartoon movie.

So far we've gotten the toys and game pictures before any actual stills or footage. smh.

I'm sure the trailer will be really good, but I still can't get over this. Toys, videogames before anything official from the movie. That's just messed up.
 
The designs look like Halo meets Monster Hunter. This film could be good, but it has been so overhyped when it's a fairly typical concept in all regards. The CGI better be eye-exploding.
 
What time do you guys think is realistic to line up and get in? I'm thinking of even going to the panel before it to see the movies but still no idea when I should line up. I can see from my window that some people are lined up already but that's too early.

The panel before it is Twilight so you can pretty much forget going to that.
 
I'm glad Cameron, in his infinite wisdom, saw it fit that the first exposure most fans will have of the art and design of the Avatar world is through a shitty Ubisoft game and even shittier toy figures. Surely, this too is part of his brilliant MASTER PLAN! :lol

Marketsaw reported a few hours ago that 300 people were already camped out for Hall H. And yes, that wheelchair Jake figurine is hilarious :lol .

Again people, these things don't mean shit. Do you guys not remember the original toy line that released with T2? :lol

Im more interested in the box art than the figures, I skipped pretty much every pic of the actual action figures (thought the last one was funny though)

These pics are almost all we have to go on for these designs! If we had at least SOME pics officially released, we wouldnt need to settle for this stuff ;_;

Again, only showing the shitty game and action figures a few months before the movie does mean something.
 
Everything I've seen of Avatar in terms of released/leaked art and designs looks generic as fuck seriously. It's like Cameron is still stuck in Aliens-era scifi. Since then everything being shown so far from Avatar has been done to death by dozens of movies, series, games, etc. There's nothing here that really looks amazing, or cool, or even new.

It's Cameron's fault Dead. Avatar=Nick cartoon in everyone's eyes these days, especially without marketing. People have been forced to associate Avatar with the cartoon since 2005.

For the past several years AVATAR: The last Airbender has been one of the most popular cartoons on nickelodeon and become a cult hit, and is getting a big budget movie of it's own next July. You may have seen the trailer, evidence that it is being made, unlike another movie I know...

There's been no trailer, no hype, no news coming out about Cameron's Avatar. Why should anyone know that it's a different movie?

I count on several people showing up for this expecting it to be the Last Airbender movie. I don't understand why Cameron just doesn't call the movie Pandora.

Thinking like that got everyone hyped for the prequels. Aliens and Terminator were Incredible movies. That was the 80's and 90's. Cameron hasn't done a sci-fi movie since the Abyss bombed. His last effort was a romantic disaster movie. The last thing that was put on film that he did was a cancelled sci-fi show.

All we ask is for the same thing every other movie gets. A trailer. If the only thing you're hyping your movie on is effects you should probably, you know, show the effects?

This is why you need to shut the fuck up already. You highlight your stupidity in every post. Cameron's last Sci-Fi movie was TERMINATOR 2, not The Abyss.

Also, The Abyss didn't bomb, it just didn't make as huge a profit back as every other film of his.

To re-iterate - this is Cameron's first Sci-Fi since T2.

That has got to be the most underwhelming mishmash I've seen. It looks like someone just threw the toys in there and called it a day. It looks like a bunch of random toys from an 80's cartoon.
