Avengers 2 titled: "Avengers: Age of Ultron"

Crappy recent event book aside, Ultron is one of the Avengers best villains.

I agree, but I really dont think recent AU was as bad as to suddenly make "ULTRON SUCKS" a thing. That storyline could have been fixed, and I bet this (if going by the name means it'll be similar) does it.

has Thor ever said "thee" in any of the films

they've dialed that shit way down, and it's sad

"Ultron, we would have words with you."

Still works. It is all about the build up to that moment in that story (Ultron Unlimited for those that have not read it. And you should). Just a couple of issues of The Avengers getting their asses kicked by crazy powerful Ultron robots, but they are just inferior copies of the main one. This is when they bust into his control room after beating their way through a few hundred inferior Ultrons.

Ultron is crazier then a shithouse cat, and deeper than the Joker.

I hope they just took the title from the comic...but considering how new it is, this has to be a conscience effort.

Spoiler Alert:
Age of Ultron kinda sucked. Like majorly kinda sucked.

Who knows, gotta hope for the best. But this is one time I hope they diverge away from the namesake of the source material as much as possible.

I know others said it, but this opens up Guardians of the Galaxy 2 to be Annihilation: Conquest. Sure, they skip the awesome Annihilation, but Conquest was still cool.

new Days of Future Past keeps looking less and less like the arc. I really wouldnt take this to heart other than "hey that sounds llike a cool name if we wanna have Ultron in it"

Can the Marvel cinematic universe even use Adamantium?

Fine. Vibranium body. Just make him even scarier somehow.

But where did Pym find all that vibranium to build a super scary robot? What? He bought it off the black market from some country called Wakanda? There's your Black Panther set up.

Fucking right. Yeah, I need to calm down a bit from this news. I am more excited about getting Ultron than I am from Thanos showing up eventually.

Kind of hope Lang would be the villain bu ultron will be good. Would tie into some of the tech stuff form Im3

Nathan Fillion as pym
The girl whom plyed faors for wasp.

Comicbook-GAF, how powerful is Ultron? Feel free to use Dragonball Z metrics.
He managed to wipe out most of the Avengers and take over the world in a recent story arc with the same name as the film which was later prevented from happening due to time travel shenanigans.

In Annihilation: Conquest (which included the Guardians of the Galaxy) he took control of a race of cybernetic aliens (the Phalanx) and tried to take over the galaxy.

He's pretty damn powerful, probably the most the most threatening Avengers foe after Thanos they could do.

Why are people automatically assuming it has nothing to do with the Age of Ultron comic? They would have known about all the story points for AoU last year within Marvel. It just seems odd to assume it has nothing to do with it. Yeah it could be just a name. Or it could be the entire storyline with some tweaks. There isn't evidence to support either conclusion.

And for some reason I'm a helluva lot more excited for this than I am for World's Finest.

Deliver us from evil, Whedon!

? I dont think anyone's automatically assuming anything, I think most people (including me) are saying "let's not jump to conclusions". It could be whatever. There's hardly been a straight up faithful adaptation of a comic book arc in film, other than something like Watchmen/300.

The way I like to think of Conquest:
Think of the Phalanx as Marvel's version of The Borg. Ultron's consciousness is beamed out into space, and he takes over The Borg through sheer force of will. He felt they lacked focus and conviction. Ultron was so boss he could overpower the Marvel Borg collective and make it bend to his will.

Like a fucking boss.

Well Vin Diesel's just been cast and he voiced this guy:

Ya. No way that's not who they are going with for Ultron. Rumors had him as the Vision, but this makes way more sense. Especially since Ultron created the Vision.

People who are afraid that this is actually based on Age of Ultron the comic series, should remember that Disney doesn't have the movie rights to half of those characters. Most notably Wolverine and Sue Storm. At the very least, it would be heavily reworked. I doubt they will mess around with alternate realities and time travel at all though.

Annihilation Remix. They're digging really deep for current Guardians and mixing all type of things so it could easily have elements of both.

Avengers 2 post credit scene, Thanos finds Ultron. "Think of the sheer annihilation this genocidal automaton could have caused" Thanos grins. Cut to shadowy woman silhouette in background who slowly nods in approval. Done.
