Avengers: Doomsday | Official Trailer

Next they are gonna make
Nothing really. You can imagine any sort of power-creep it has already been done.

Hell, you don't want to know how powerful Superman currently is, and I'm saying that fully aware that Superman started out as a completely overpowered character.

Of course, after one-shotting literal, multiversal gods he'll get done in by a random schmuck using Kryptonite the next week because comics.

I'm looking forward to seeing what Doomsday ends up being, but I've got to be honest, that trailer felt kinda weak. Didn't really stir my interest too much, sadly. It all just feels so ... rushed, to me. We haven't even seen Doom yet and here is Thor talking about him like he's the most powerful being in the universe? Maybe it would have been nice to see some build up to that over time? 🤔

Ah well, here's hoping the movie turns out being really good.

:-/ That was probably the worst trailer I could have imagined for it, everything looks cheap, confined bad looking sets (like was this whole film just done on a sound stage?), Thor being set as a lead, things just don't look high quality or epic like we've seen in other Avenger trailers. Something seems really off.
Films just look so bad these days. I saw the trailer for the new spider man and the CGI looks absolutely awful, as does Spidey's suit.

If that soundtrack drops without a single MF DOOM track, I'm about to become a supervillain for real.

It would actually be good to have a plan work rather than just some dumb luck and it works out.

I guess the big issue is what is Doom's motivation? Why would he want to destroy the avengers or Earth. Thanos was just an environmentalist. Maybe Dr Doom could be invested big in Iranian oil.
Isn't he erasing all other multiverses?
I figure they're just trying to stop him.

Shit for all we know Thor isn't even talking about Doom in the trailer and is instead talking up something else entirely?
So, people who don't want to watch a superhero movie should go watch another superhero movie?

Tom Cruise What GIF

People in a super hero movie thread, not hype for this, when it's hype AF, should try to seek an alternate like super girl. (Which is a joke by the way cuz this looks 1000x better)

Who the fuck is in the 30th some marvel movie thread, not into hero movies, being like "man this doesn't look good?" No shit you're not the target audience and never have been.

Plenty else to watch if marvel isn't your thing. If marvel IS/was your thing, but this isn't doing it for you? Then idk what to tell you man. This is going to be sick.

The trailer at least confirmed one thing from me, I just want another x-men movie. I usually get very excited for superhero things, but this time I was indifferent. Needs more cyclops.

last marvel movies I saw was the Deadpool and Wolverine one and the Thor 4 one. Been a minute since I caught something marvel I guess I'm up for an avengers movie drop. But why compete with dune 3 ??? That doesn't make sense they're going to hit each others earnings

I was honestly willing to give a chance, but the leaks broke me.
No way I gonna pay tickets for a movie to see them doing that.

Doom has ties to Krona. That's why Marvel is about to make him ridiculously powerful, he's the bridge between the two universes. They're warming everybody up. This will end with reality cracking open and fucking Superman flying into the MCU. Thor tosses him Mjolnir, Steve Rogers who somehow returned hands him the shield, and recreate that legendary JLA/Avengers shit. The X-Men will spend the whole saga as glorified cameo bitches, cute entrances, a few little fights, then right back in the penalty box. Yup, bookmark this shit: DC Superman/MCU Avengers crossover incoming. The breadcrumbs are already there.

Edit: Come on, man, they already did a Deadpool/Batman comic crossover. A DC Superman/Marvel Avengers movie would print money for both companies.

He wants to erase the Multiverse (universes make up the Multiverse) to create a single reality that he controls
Isn't it a thing in the comics where different worlds/universes have to fight each other or else their own universe dies? I wouldn't be surprised if Doom wants to be the absolute ruler of reality or something. There is a character called "god Emperor Doom" out there where he just completely wins and is basically an unstoppable despot.

Yes to all of this

wait, that's Rebecca Romijn reprising her role as Mystique? that's cool. do we know if Jackman or any other of the original X-men will be in the movie outside of those that are in the trailer?

I just want another Toby Spider-Man movie.

Spider-Man 2 was the best superhero movie ever made.
I grew up with Toby MacGuire Spiderman. He introduced me to the series as a kid, and I became obsessed with it. It was awesome.

BTW, I don't know if it just me, but I never really got too attached to Tom Holland Spiderman. He did a good job and all especially in showing the teenage kid side to the character, but I didn't like how he often seemed to be the cause of the conflict in almost every movie he was in.
In Far From Home, Peter gives Mysterio the glasses that essentially give the owner access to dangerous drones that can level cities with the weapons attached to them. It was such a stupid move for Peter to do, handing over this power to a stranger he LITERALLY just met a few days earlier who he knows nothing about. In No Way Home, Peter is the direct cause of the entire conflict in the movie. He makes Dr. Strange attempt a memory erasure spell on the entire planet because his secret identity was blown. After he inadvertently messes with Strange's concentration, the spell backfires. This brings villains from different universes into the world. As a result, this Peter is responsible for the death of Aunt May.
His character just comes off as incredibly irresponsible to me at times, which I guess is the point for a young Spiderman.

For me I'm a bit interested in seeing the continuation of Andrew Garfield's Spiderman story. It kind of ended on a cliffhanger with the reveal that a mysterious puppet master is pulling the strings and seemingly intends to create the Sinister Six with all the secret Oscorp technology he has access to. Like who is this guy, what is his relationship to Spiderman, and why is he hellbent on creating supervillains for Spiderman to fight?

I'm assuming the actual heavy hitters...Deadpool, Wolverine, Spiderman (and I guess the Hulk) will be teased later. I'm kinda surprised they aren't trying to sell us Spiderman 4 as critical viewing for Doomsday (or maybe they are and I'm just divorced from Disney ad content). Then again, Spiderman 4 advance tracking is pretty good so maybe they don't need to.

Why you do the cap like that bruh. 😅😅
The "Cap" they really shafted was Mackie. He gets a whole film where he is put up as the LEAD AVENGERS and in the trailer for THE AVENGERS he doesn't say a word and only gets what, 2 seconds of time, if that? Curious if Evans takes back the shield or if Mjolnir just powers him right past needing stuff like that. Be a shame, turning Chris into a character that has to become CG to act out the battles, as him sticking to fairly grounded fight choreography was a high point of his films.

Sorry but this Avengers team is not exciting to me AT ALL:

Trailer was pretty underwhelming too, look at what we got as a first look for IW, that shit was hype as F

Now for sure I can't wait to see Doom and I hope it will have great action sequences but yeah, that roster is doing nothing for me. Also I'm not biting the memberberries of Spider-Man and other X-Men. It's cool for sure but I don't expect the story to be good nor too justify their presence, especially after NWH which was such a bad movie story wise (and that is quite important to me). I hope to be proven wrong, but Marvel has to convince me after all the bad movies/series they've been throwing at us, I'm not gonna consume just because it's written Avengers.

Not gonna lie, if they get Snyder to direct about 30 min of the snyderverse Justice League (minus the flash i guess but with Sasha as supergirl) showing up, with that visual look, and let Snyder cut loose with Thor, Hulk, and a few x-men so we can see what a PROPER deity level superhero throw down against Dr Dooms finest...take all my money and I'll support and and all MCU slop till then to make it happen :p
