Freedom

After a coup, the US government is taken over by renegade military forces, forcing four people - each of whom had been arrested for treason - to band together and help the resistance return the legitimate government to power

only lasted 7 episodes before UPN canceled it.

VR Troopers. A Power Rangers knock-off, roughly. Between Power Rangers themselves and Beetleborgs right behind them, this show didn't really take off back in the mid 90s.

Was amazing, though.

I had a huge tape recorder back then and would record the audio of the shows. Not sure why this one stuck with me but it was good as far as I remember. I forgot all about the name till on a recent podcast they were talking about it. I had to pull over and listen because it was insane that they were talking about this tiny ass show that I remember and no one else I know does.

Sherman Helmsley will always be the g.o.a.t.

They don't call me retroman for nothing
(actually, nobody calls me that)
, so here's another blast from the past:

Well, not so much a blast from the past, but rather a firecracker that failed to go off.

Still watched it, though.

Holy fuck. This thread. I need to sleep and you guys keep bringing the goods.

Also blame space and I are the same person...except I have better luck overall. But seriously dude you watched the same Saturday shows I did.

The thing with this show is it started out as a pretty standard kind of actioney comedy show of that disney/jetex time period. But even then it seemed weird

Quickly it became a spectacular show, while being actioney and having stakes, got even funnier because the writers im assuming got liscence to make more interesting joke. More modern, dirty, referential, and even dark. Heck seth MacFarlane was a regular badguy on the show.

It was interesting

WMAC Masters
I remember it being Saturday or Sunday mornings before Baywatch or American Gladiators, but after Saved by the Bell. Something like that. It was like wwf for ninjas, with more background between fights on the inner workings of the clans. Teen pseudo drama type.

Get the fuck out of here! You know damn well that plenty of people knew WMAC, and were super pissed about the lack of closure. Now Superforce on the other hand, only I know what the fuck that is.

I wish this show had a proper ending.

Was better than it had any right to be, mainly due to very likable characters. Anyway, it was a fun diversion for the few years it ran.

The_Odyssey_Main_Title.jpg

It was about a boy who entered a fantasy world while being in a coma in the real world.

Weird show

Was there an episode about a city ruled by children in some sort of skate park where they ate sugar and such? I have been looking for that show my whole life, about it seems I was the only one to see it in my country.

I saw no mention of it, so here goes. PUGWALL

Probably one of the most fun morning kids shows to watch during long summer holidays, but it barely gets a mention these days. It was really funny back then, I still laugh when I think about the exploits of Peter Unwin George Wall (Pugwall... geddit?!), and how he had given his entire family nicknames (Mum: Supes, Dad: HeroHead, Sister: Marmaloid (because ginger)

Major crush on Jenny. MAJOR:

It was followed up by the even less-watched Pugwall's Summer:

I still have the soundtrack cassette somewhere. Yes, I was a big fan of the show back then. I daren't go back, the memory of it will never be beaten.

Anthony Clark from Yes Dear will always be Boyd from Boston Common. Same with Traylor Howard (most known as Natalie from Monk).

Another show with reruns on USA, Working with Fred Savage

Haha, completely forgot about that show! Never really watched it, but I can still remember the opening lines of the theme song :-)

Nobody tells me what to do, no not me
Nobody tells me what to say, can't you see?
Heh. I used to bust out my guitar and play the Orange Organics party song at parties. Nobody ever used to get it.

Pole Position.
Cartoon that I used to absolutely adore when I was a kid. Whenever I bring it up most people are like "huh?", "what? don't remember that one" etc..

"Hydrofoil mode, Rhodie"
"Hyrdofoil engaged, Dan"

Someone right here remembers, brother *nostalgia hi-five* It used to be on at a painfully early time on weekday mornings in the UK, which explains the same blank stares whenever I try and bring it up with friends in the same age bracket.

I've got a dream I'm gonna make it
If there's a chance I'm gonna take it

Best intro

So many shows I've never heard of in this thread.

Daybreak. Wasn't average... it was amazing. Shame it got only 1 season. Basically an action version of Groundhog's Day. The acting was there, the premise too.

Day Break really, really was awesome. Was the first time I ever saw the wonderful Moon Bloodgood as well.

Oh, I remember this show. This show was pretty weird. I think I had a few toys of it, IIRC.

Traveler and Seven Days. I hope they show up streaming one day :(

Traveler only lasted one season and was about a guy whose roommate set him up as the fall guy for a crime (or maybe terrorist attack?) and he goes about trying to clear his name. The season ended on a big cliffhanger too. Sucks we (well "I" since no one else cares) got a resolution.

Seven Days was a great upn scifi series about time travel. Seven day + 7 of 9 and cool Doctor era Voyager was a good two hours of television. I don't care what anyone else thinks.

Gary and Mike. I had to look up the name of the show, it was a UPN series lasting only 13 episodes. Was all done in stop motion.

I remember it mostly because the last episode had the two driving their car off a bridge or cliff and a "to be continued" message that never got continued.
