Is the Butterfly Effect worth a watch? I'm just really fucking leery of Ashton Kutcher.
It's one of the few times where Ashton Kutcher isn't just playing a glorified version of Ashton Kutcher. Great movie.

I AM LEGEND

This WAS the original ending, but it was changed at the last minute.

This one infuriates me, because the ORIGINAL ending stuck with the theme of the book and COMPLETELY changes the entire movie in premise, themes, and basically makes you rewatch it to get all the subtle details.

And then some test audiences didn't get it, so they went with the absolutely stupid Kamikaze ending we saw in theaters. Great. Fits the movie perfectly, except it doesn't and makes the entire story pointless, as Will Smith didn't really achieve anything.

George Lucas may wreck his films 30 years later, but this is a case of the director wrecking his own film before it came to theaters.
Motherfucker.... I came out of the cinema thinking the movie was a turd because the ending left such a bad aftertaste and felt tacked on.
Now I know why. Fuck focus groups and target audiences. Fuck test-screenings.
What the fuck. Why do they only invite morons into focus groups?

Hey fuck you man, that last explosion made the film.

And the lady driving up to the colony, fucking brilliant!

Cowboy Bebop is probably older than some GAF posters. I can't believe people are getting worked up about having the end spoiled.

Been on TV pretty much constantly since the early 2000s.

I always thought the alternate/original ending to Fight Club,
where the building they're in collapses
would have made a lot more sense.

Given how close Fight Club was to the book, I'm really surprised Fincher didn't shoot that ending.

The currents probably would have carried it away far from there.
And all those computers couldn't possibly calculate where it might have landed, given the weight of the necklace, known current streams, and mathematical computations... :P

That's odd. I would have swore on my life that they did record it, but looking around, I can't seem to find it. Yet I thought I distinctly remember
seeing the building they're in collapse
as the credits roll at one point.

I'm still not 100% whose fault that tacked on ending was. Some say the producers. Some say it was a test audience reaction.

Whoever it was, they didn't read books, that's for sure.

I assume focus groups and test audiences are just friends of the staff, so that might explain it. Hollywood leeches.

That doesn't mean everyone has seen it. Twin Peaks is twenty years old, and I just watched it a few months ago. I would have been absolutely pissed off if someone spoiled Laura's killer or the finale for me.

Titanic's alternate ending is fucking awesome

"I don't know what to say to a woman who tries to jump off the Titanic when it's not sinking and jumps back on when it is".

This is an amazing line.

That is a pretty decent line. That probably could have been worked into the movie somewhere. It still doesn't save the alt, though.
