Azure Striker Gunvolt (3DS, Inti Creates)

Yeah, but I guess making HD sprites was too expensive for them.

The game sprites still look great.

Cool looking, I must say. I'll put it on my shelf next to his pirate game and MML3.

...I'm
somewhat
joking of course, it just seems like he's taking on too much without delivering enough.

Someday I hope that it becomes trend that the PopIdol/LoveInterest/MagicalMaiden is actually the main villian and is actually more vile than the opposite force (no killing the world for the best, brainwash, etc shenigans).

But in anycase, games looks fucking cool.

I would buy the ever living fuck out of that at full price. Has a good sense of speed along with looking nice in general. I dig the main character as well.

Eh, IntiCreates was the company that developed the Zero games and MegaMan 9 and 10... then again, IntiCreates was formed by ex Capcom staff.

They did Network Transmission as well right?

As soon as I heard that warbling shit in the music at the start of the video, my first thought was, "they made Megaman Zero with the serial numbers filed off, didn't they?"

I am glad they didn't disappoint

As mentioned before Inticreates was responsible for the Zero games which I can honestly say are some of the best in the franchise. Will buy full price.

Yo, this looks awesome, and I hope every creator ever associated with Mega Man comes back with a better game aping that style just to spite Capcom. Forever.

As a Megaman Zero diehard, this is my kind of game. Just sad this is an eShop title. Hopefully, it makes it over.

Megaman Zero series is my favourite in the MMUniverse.

Actually that was ARIKA, formed by yet ANOTHER band of ex-Capcom talent.

Between the likes of P*,Craft&Meister, IntiCreates, ARIKA, ByKing and I'm sure plenty of others, you can find a good deal of the Capcom talent that made the games that made you a fan of the company in the first place!

If this game comes to the west , i will only need a good metroidvania to get everything i wanted from the 3ds

I don't have a shot of it, but during the live broadcast, they already had an English version of the logo prepared (which is where "Azure Striker" comes in, as opposed to "Armed Blue" on the Japanese title).

Looks hot. Wish it was on Vita too, but I haven't given my 3ds much love since I finished Fire Emblem back over winter break.

Putting this out there: If Concept/IntiCreates just do Megaman spiritual sucessors from now on, I'd be sort of ticked. Overexposure killed the franchise.

The amount we have right now is fine, but I don't want to see "Mighty #10", "Mighty Hunter Y", "Legends of the Dashing Hero", "App Fighting Network EX", "Cosmos Brigade Fighting Network" "Azure Striker Gunvolt More" and "Azure Striker XD" all around the same period is all I'm saying. Unless Inafaking left Capcom just to continue making the games he made before leaving the company, he probably has some fully original ideas still and those shouldn't be wasted.

He did Soul Sacrifice, Bugs vs Tanks, and Yaiba.

Despite my general dislike of Inafune as a person from what I've read about him, this game looks really cool and really fun. He's got my money.

Well they aren't exactly Mega Man games. They just take what they know how to do best and then make games that aren't also chained down by the established formula as much AND by Capcom's painfully terrible marketing.

Wasn't he responsible for Dead Rising and Lost Planet? I hear Capcom didn't want to release those games, but Infaune inflated the budget to the point where the company was forced to release it.

Irrc, Inafune disliked the fact that Capcom were milking franchises far past their expiration date with half-baked sequels. The first instance of this was when Capcom continued the Megaman X games after X5.
