Plants don't have nervous systems, lol. I'm an omnivore, but this argument is silly and oddly enough, pretty common in these discussions.

We do know they have some form of intelligence, though, even if it's not human-like.

It just seems highly arbitrary to me that we draw moral lines based on things with which we can relate as humans. The fact that you are taking life in order to continue your own remains the same.
