"Never" is a silly absolute word. Every game has had its VOIP/LAG issues now and then, but to the point were it was a common issue? No.

Be that the case, none of the 2 games have ever had the voip working and this is not just my experience. Its one thing to have the voice chat go out for a game or 2 but I have never had a game where it worked throughout. And for a squad based "tactical" shooter voice communication is key.
I play a lot of online shooters and BC had terrible lag terrible.
Yes these were persistent issues which made me stop playing the games.
