Regular sights are just fine and to unlock better guns like the F2000.Violater said:Ok Assault class what is the use of unlocking all the guns so fast if it takes so long to unlock a red dot sight.

Without the console versions there would not be a PC version.
I think I am going to stop playing now and save the grinding for the full game.

WTF? Both of those were excellent games in their own rights. They may have not replicated the feel of the PC Battlefields exactly, but they were perfectly fine on the consoles. Anyways, still loving BC2. I just wish more friends were playing that instead of MW2 (which I don't have) :/gibonez said:Without the pc battlefields there would be no console version. :/
I can understand the PC purists , they are frustrated because the series before bc2 has been massacred on consoles. BF2 modern combat , and BC1 were atrocious.
The pc guys just don't want their precious Battlefield to get raped anymore.
They were in BC1, right?RS4- said:If there's one thing i'd like to see changed is that tank gunners should be exposed.

The graphics, lighting, and sound effects are all superb, but what a clusterfuck. This game is probably what Enemy Territory: Quake Wars would have been like if they completely screwed it up.
I really don't even know where to begin. My biggest gripe is that I've never played a game where you die so many deaths without ever having had a fucking clue where the guy who killed you was... or even better, just getting blown up by a tank constantly.
I honestly don't know how EA expects to get any traction if that's the type of game that they're putting out in the wake of MW2. The level of power behind some of the vehicles is such that new players will be instantly turned off.

The name of the game is BATTLEFIELD. Tanks are a key component of a one. And what is with all this complaining about tanks being too strong.Zinthar said:Of course not -- maybe tanks just aren't a great idea in the game at all. It's nice to have one, but even when I got kills with it, it was so easy that it wasn't really fun.
It's just that it seems like the idea behind the balance in this game went something along the lines of "let's have lots of explosions... and some vehicles that create bigger explosions... and to counter them you'll need... uhhh, even BIGGER explosions."

1st. They're not, if a team is at least somewhat coordinated, the AT guys should have it covered. You aren't supposed to be able to take out a tank by yourself. Teamwork is heavy stressed by the design of the game.
2nd. I mean, they're TANKS.
Tanks are here to stay, maybe a complete battlefield experience isn't for you, but it doesn't mean that it is unbalanced. This isn't a CQC game.
:lolZinthar said:who is really playing the BC2 beta so much when MW2 just came out?
Fixed. Give it a couple of weeks.Satanyoka said:Fuck the M16. That is all.

Thanks man. I'm hoping to see if the game lives up to its promises.Sutanreyu said:In some slightly related news, Sony is giving out MAG Beta codes right now on a first-come, first-serve basis. I'd post a thread but I'm a bit of a lurker (thus, I'm short on posts.).

Zinthar said:I've had K/D's of at least 1 in Halo 3 (where I had over a 2.0), MW2, KZ2, and ET:QW for PC... I'm pretty damn good with the shooting aspects of these games.
Also, the obvious counter to that statement is questioning who is really playing the BC2 beta so much when MW2 just came out? My first guess would be the people who suck at MW2, who will go into the beta being naturally predisposed to finding something to like about BC2 and prefer the fact that BC2. I doubt there are many who got to lvl 70 in MW2 and immediately jumped into BC2 and loved it.
I was also doing pretty well in the few instances of BC2 beta where I decided to just sit back and snipe, or when the tank spawned and I grabbed it first. Without coordination (which never happens since no one else uses headsets) and a vehicle, it's not easy to get close enough to do anything with the assault class.
I'm sure a lot of people never played the PC version of ET:QW, but given that this is a PS3 beta I'd bet there are a lot of former KZ2 players, and the feel of BC2 is very similar in a number of respects. KZ2 ended up turning into a clusterfuck at times too, but it still handled the gunplay much better than BC2, particularly in allowing you to actually get into actual on foot gun fights.
Ballistictiger said:Just played over 4 hours and DAMN I hate freaking snipers on my squad. They did shit when the crate was about to blow and they did shit when we're suppose to blow up the crates.
Ballistictiger said:I'm fine with snipers as long as they help the team and do the objective, but I hate the ones that act like they are playing team deathmatch. When my whole squad is sniping and I can't get to A or B fast, that's what tick me off.
I admit I don't give a rats ass about K/D ratio I risk my own life to take out a tank (suicide bomber with specialist landmines).
I like to see that sniper :lol , that is one tactical guy.VaLiancY said:I've had a few good snipers in my squad but one of them went beyond the call of duty. He spawned on me with a shotgun, tossed down a motion tracker, breached the wall with C4 killing one dude, together we killed a squad, planted the charge and got gunned down a hail of glorious fire protecting it. :lol I guess this is what DICE means by a "Battlefield moment".
Zinthar said:Seriously... teamwork? On PSN? Seriously? Under 20% of people use headsets. The game gives no incentive to force people to accept support roles.
endlessflood said:Has anyone fully investigated the party system and features in the Beta? I have two questions and if anybody can answer either of them I'd appreciate it, TBH I think this is the most important area for feedback in the beta:
1. What is the size limit on the pre-match squad invite screen? Can you add more than four people to your 'party' and then let the game automatically break them up into squads for you? Or are you limited to only inviting 3 other friends before starting a game?
2. If you find yourself in a game with your friends (using the JOIN option), but their squad is full and the only squad you can get into doesn't have room for them, what are your options in terms of getting in a squad together? I know you can send them a squad invite (which would require them to leave and then re-join the game I think (if it's anything like BF1943), thereby forfeiting any points they've already acquired. Are there any other ways to achieve this?
