Bad looking or bad quality consoles?

Have to go with this. I really dislike the look of it, and its definitely not the most quality built machine ever.

OG 360s were definitely shit-tier for reliability, but I always liked the design. Looked very... space-age? The black Elites in particular were gorgeous.

What does that have to do with the quality?

It's missing a rubber foot as you can see here.

Both current gen consoles are meh. The decision to do matte and glossy on the same machine was idiotic in my opinion.

I'm not too bothered by it on the PS4 because I'm still holding out hope Sony will one day offer replacement HDD bay covers in a matte finish. Or at least 3rd parties will...

I thought the 360 Slim looked pretty good

Agreed!

I'd say the quality and looks are better on the PS4 tho. The PS4 is a sexy looking gadget.

As soon as I saw the XBO being posted, I was counting until someone decided to post a PS4 in this thread. Funny stuff.

Quality wise I had worse luck with the ps2 than 360. I had 3 of them get that wonderful disc reading problem and then bought the slim model DOA. Only had one 360 rrod and at least microsoft fixed it. The original xbox looking like a huge vcr was the tackiest looking in my opinion, but snes and game cube aren't far behind.

360 for reliability by a long shot. I might even hold a record for most 360's murdered for all I know but I eventually managed to get through about 12, actually started losing track a little bit after the eighth one. My online buddies at the time used to be a bit curious how I did it but I was notorious among them for killing consoles. The truly strange part though, is that I never actually had a single one die of RROD. I had an instance of RROD once but fixed it with the towel trick.

Most of mine actually just stopped being able to launch games, probably more than half ended up being shipped to Germany for this reason alone. I managed to completely cook a couple of the very early ones, could literally smell the burnt components and see the smoke coming out. I remember I fried one myself using a third party fan that wasn't properly designed despite being a well known brand. The most confusing one however was an Xbox which used to scratch discs like crazy, but only select discs, then one day I was playing some Gears with friends and it reverted to the dashboard, opening the tray to check the disc it spat it out in two halves :/ never actually figured out what happened there but it took a while to get MS to replace the disc for me too. Got an Elite which lasted a lot longer, but it died eventually too, disc issues again. I have a dust covered S sitting in a cupboard somewhere, half scared to test it anymore really. By far the worst system I've ever had to deal with.

Between that and the dust collecting design of the vents..oh and the rubber buttons which after a while jam causing your ps4 to continually eject the disc the case design is absolute shit....and let's not even go into the jet engine they decided to use as a fan.

I hope the next ps4 case is better

Quality wise the thing was built like a tank, but holy crap was it an ugly machine compared to its (in my opinion) much sleeker counterparts in Europe and Asia. The day I got a glimpse at those models versus what I had as a kid was a sobering one.

Thats my favorite console desgin of all the time! }:(

love the purple on grey.

Yes those damn vents who thought that designing the vents like that was a good idea? I have to take my entire ps4 out to dust the damn thing because i cant fit a towel between the small crevice the vents are located in. Just put vents on the side like normal. No reason to make then a pain to clean.

worst quality? 360 easily. Defective piece of shit back in the day, and its by far the loudest console I've ever owned. Only HD console with no HDMI port. No built in wi-fi. its HUGE and the power brick is also huge. Yeah I just got it out the other day to go back anf play a few exclusives I miss and I get never get over the size of the thing or the noise that it makes.

worst looking? as much as I love the PS2 its always been a weird looking console. It just doesnt look right to me.

Dust-collecting vents? Rubber buttons? Could you elaborate?

For Xbox 360s, I think I must be a god-damned wizard.

I've got a launch Xbox 360, and it's still running strong, 50,000 Gamerscore later. When my friends talked about how horrible the system was, I was wondering what the hell they were doing to fry their systems, because mine is rock solid.

I think mine must be the chosen one.

Also: Snagged one of those faceplate designable covers and made it look like a Gamecube. :3

The bold has never happened to me. Mine never ejects the disc and it's quieter than my 360 slim. I think it's strange that some people experience this and others don't.

Not sure what you mean about the dust collecting design of the vents though.

I just went to test this on mine and mine does not wobble.

The stability updates really do wonders.

I see people claiming theirs don't wobble, yet every single one I've seen does it, because of the tri-foot design. Show a picture of what yours looks like underneath please.

Best hardware revision ever. It was like a rad Pokemon evolution and they did that whole thing where everyone in the theatre when they announced it was given one free. And then the big surprise SHIPS TODAY.

The way the Game Gear guzzled batteries makes it the worst-designed hardware I've owned, thinking on it. What a terrible flaw for a handheld. Makes the Vita and OG 3DS look like marathon runners.

Not a popular opinion but I don't like most consoles to be honest but I feel that the Xbox One and PS4 are fucking atrocious. I own both and both are just heinous to me. At least the One is pretty silent the PS4 is the loudest system I have ever had its insane..

Man, that PS3 super slim is so ugly. I had to get a new ps3 last year since my phat 80gb died, and was looking into get the super slim, but just couldn't even though it was cheaper. Decided to shell out the extra $50 and got the og slim which is much nicer.

360 S is super sexy.
Xbox One looks better in person than in photos but it's still not that great, but I think the PS4 looks worse in person than in pictures because of the cheap plastic they used.

My ugly console vote goes to the Nintendo GameCube although I loved mine.

I just tried it myself, and honestly there's no wobble. I can take a picture if necessary, but honestly to get the kind of wobble in the original GIF you'd need a freaking coin or two underneath the front-facing foot of the three.

The foot-pads are millimeters thick, if that.

I see the PS3 Super Slim, OG DS, and Wii Mini have already been taken care of, so I'll go with this:

It's like two strangely offset rectangles of different sized haphazardly put together. And then there is the stupid ribbed thing going on. Admittedly though, it looks much better vertically, but it's still not all that appealing. The PS2 Slim looked great though.

Seriously? You've got bad taste

Nah, all of the Xbox consoles are ugly. 360 Slim is the only decent-looking one.

Not sure what you mean about the dust collecting design of the vents though.

The vents are recessed which causes dust to sit in front of the vents and after a while the vents clog up

The rubber buttons that control the eject and power button sometimes catch and stick...not sure if it's related to the wonky case or its simply a defect but myself and a few of my freinds have the same issue.

The blue accents were beautiful though, and I wish it would have carried over to the slim.

For me, the OG Xbox and the PS3 Super slim are the worst contenders

I have a Super slim and its just yuck to look at, it hide it away
