Twilight Princess is full of ugly looking character models.
They are ugly, and characters like Tingle,etc...but it gives those games a lot of personality in a Tim Burton sort of way. Better than everyone looking like a generic anime doll like a lot of jrpg/jaction.

Truly a dark time for the Doom series.
Posting those models outside of the engine and sans-material (bump/spec maps) isn't really fair. In truth, booting up Doom 3 on a fresh 6800 was pure bliss back then. Describing Doom 3 as a dark time - no pun intended - isn't really fair at all.

Not that you need to defend yourself for liking it, but I am 110% sure that whether or not people like anime has nothing to do with whether or not they like this character model.
For example, I like anime, but Lin from XCX triggers the same response in my brain that would make me reflexively smash a strange-looking bug with a hammer. It is a reaction of genuine disgust.
But, again, people like different things. Like what you like, I say.

I admit I wasn't paying close attention to the arcade scene in the mid-'90s, but I imagine Tekken's early CG was Uncanny Valley shit even at the time:
