Crows looked good. I heart the Tip, he'd have to be my favourite non-Port player. Also dig the Porpoise.

BUT Essendon were absolutely ordinary. I wouldn't take this win as any sort of indication about how much further the crows will go, because a Saints or Collywobble side coming off a loss will be a whole different ballgame.

As has been said, the Bombers should be right in a few years. Crows, meanwhile, also have a young side, but I think have to be wary of leaving it too long and losing the old boys plus I'd say most likely the Tip to the Gold Coast. I'd say they're best chances lie this year or the next.

Adelaide have looked like world beaters several times this year, and then looked mediocre when playing one of the top teams.

They are 1-6 when playing the top 4 so far this year. That only win came in round 1 against Collingwood, who were pretty bad at that stage.

In any case Essendon are improving a lot, and they have beaten 2 of the top 4 sides, and 5 of the top 7 this year. Those are good signs.

When we become consistent, most other teams will struggle against Essendon.

I'm for the Saints too, but worry since Collingwood's a bit of a danger side, and really, this game should be played at Etihad (Saints' home ground). Instead it's being played at the G, where it's Collingwood's home ground?! And the Saints have only played there once?! (Last game v Melbourne). And in that game they looked to be struggling a bit :/
