Bangai-O Spirits TGS Trailer

hopefully this is better than the other video

WHY IS IGN THE SLOWEST SITE?! I actually have insider and freaking Gamevideos is faster than IGN.

...So....BEAUTIFUL! :lol

They definitely seem to be keeping everything that I loved about the N64 and DC versions intact...and adding more to it! Yay for creating our own levels and multiplayer!

Wow, that looks crazy.

never played Bangai-O, but I WILL get this game. Looks amazing.

And the dude's voice in the trailer is awesome too.

the frame rate was all over the place when i played it :(

Did it at least play like the original?

I know the games have their fans, but Gunstar Heroes GBA (slightly) and Guardian Heroes GBA (very much) were both letdowns to me because they were too different than their originals

Ive never played Bangai O but hot dam does this game look like some good Treasure fun. But the framerate definately needs some fixin.

Looks absolutely fantastic, seems like the smart bomb works like the DC. Also, the slowdown looks nothing worse than the Dreamcast version to me, and sometimes I wondered if even that was intentional, because if you ask me it felt pretty awesome sometimes. Maybe I'm weird.

Now I want them to make one for the Wii...big screen and motion controlled. Or on the pS3 (psn) with spectacular explosions.

You're not, I felt the same way. I can't wait for this one. They already seem to have pricing - does this mean it's that close to release? Import get?

I....don't understand what's going on. There's missile everywhere :O

So you haven't played Bangai-O, then. Just trust us when we say that there's a whole load of awesome going on. :D

Looks damn good, a lot of shit going on at the same time, didn't notice much slowdown in the youtube vids... In some shmup slowdowns are a gift! Bangai-O seems to be one of those!

apparently it's already showed up in the computers at some us game retailer. i forget which one.

I have no clue whatsoever what's going on, and in my experience eliciting that kind of reaction has usually been a good thing.

Game of the forever, and the point of bangaio is to shoot out so much shit you slow the game down. Slow down makes this game BETTER. New moves look hot too, also seems like they added some sort of dash.

They desperately need to fix the framerate before they release it.

Don't see any problem with it in the trailer, after all these slowdowns are integrated in the gameplay (like they were on N64)...

Not interested in buying this (it's a handheld game) but I do love Bangaioh. Is this game using the missile system of the N64 version or DC version? Or is it different still?

don't forget unskippable ads, unlike Gametrailers also. IGN is shit.

anyway, Bangai-O is so many kinds of awesome. Its like one of the programmers at Treasure made a demo to see how many bullets / collisions he could display simultaneously and then they built a game around it. I love the fact you collect fruit. The level editor looks like tons of fun too, in a Wrecking Crew sort of way.

Fruit collection was filling a meter in the video. However, it looked like not very much at all was necessary to entirely refill the meter.

Putting it this way, you got me man. Hype +1

I agree. Without the slow down, I wouldn't be able to get everything. But yeah, this game looks like a must buy even though I will die so many god damn times and probably won't reach past the 3rd level.

Only new move I noticed looks like a melee attack.

Are you guys serious when you imply that the slowdown is an intentional gameplay mechanic?
I don't know if it's intentional or not, but it's useful. It's not detrimental, at any rate.

The final product might behave differently. Bleach DS 1 ran at about half the speed of the final game in the earliest previews.

Looks like some crazy fucked up shit. If there's an NA release count me in. If there is a console release count me in x 2.

There are two new melee attacks actually. The bat, which seems to knock enemies into each other, and the beam saber that destroys enemy missiles.

I remember reading about this game soooo long ago in EGM and dying to play it. They better bring this shit overseas.

I just hope that's not all though. Like some one mentioned above, rebounding lasers seem to not have been showcased just yet. If we don't at LEAST get lasers back, I'm going to be at least some what disappointed.

Gonna be a busy year for my DS...
