Batgirl getting in ahead of Martian Manhunter, Power Girl, Star Sapphire, etc, seems weird. Hell, in terms of Batman-universe characters she's not even the first one I'd pluck. I'd snag Red Hood, Azriel, or Commissioner Gordon with a baseball bat ahead of her.

Dammit I really wish they would have chosen some characters outside of the normal pantheon, I mean they have such a massive catalog of characters to use and we get stuck with more of the bat family. Why not do Swamp thing, Beast Boy, Dr Fate, Specter, hell they could even go with a character like Fire(a brazilian would have been cool) and add some spice to the roster.

I have no issue with Lobo myself, but there's no way he's big enough to be a marketable DLC option on the same tier as Batgirl or Scorpion.

Ed Boon: People ask me to describe our relationship with DC, and I always describe it as a collaboration. They were not, by any means, an obstacle. They gave us access to all the history of their characters, the various incarnations, and they did say during our initial conversation about the characters and roster—they had not released the New 52 yet, they were going to do it—they knew in their heads which characters they were putting up in the forefront and which ones they weren't going to push as much.

From that standpoint, they told us, "Hey, Cyborg's going to be a big character in our stuff." And we love Cyborg.

We knew at NetherRealm that we wanted to make the baddest Aquaman ever. We're really happy with how he turned out. So everyone has their thing. Honestly, I feel that as the lead of the team, if I had said that I wanted Plastic Man, I could have pushed that through. There were just so many other ones that got ahead of him.

Maybe? Hasn't DC been trying to get Lobo to appear in one of their upcoming movies for a while now? Regarding Cyborg, I was kind of under the impression the big reason he was in the game was due to Teen Titans.

Regarding Scorpion, I just hope he's not as annoying to fight in this game as he was in MK9. Fighting Scorpions in MK9 were like fighting Deathstrokes in Injustice - they weren't necessarily hard to beat, but it just wasn't fun fighting them.

I still say Johnny Cage should be the honorary MK fighter

Uh, Kate is a fantastic character and one of the best additions to the Batverse in many years.

I really don't think it too unlikely that we'll see Batwoman and Cassandra costumes for Batgirl.

Probably not Steph, though, since Didio seems to actively HATE her (and her fans).

I would have been fine with Cass or Kate, though. :\ Nothing against Babs, she was just better as Oracle.

If they want to include Scorpion as a free, cross-promotional character seperate from the 4 announced DLC characters then I'm down.

But if he turns out to be the 4th slot and paid content/season pass inclusion, bumping a new DC character? Man, fuck that noise.

Poison Ivy was part of the initial leaks but hasn't been mentioned regarding the dlc stuff as of late. Lobo, Batgirl, Zod and Scorpion keep getting mentioned. I hope it's the case that Scorpion is free and we get 5 characters.

He won't add to the game more than an actual DC character would. If he is the 4th DLC slot is annoying.

Many people have wrote list of valid characters that deserve to be in the game and

Batgirl, Zod and Scorpion don't qualify for those lists. Especially when Martian Manhunter and Darksied as missing and no-one from Flash's rouge gallery made it into the game.
Zod is one of the worst choices for a superman villain, Batgirl struggles for a place when we have Batman, Catwoman, Nightwing, Joker, Harley and Bane. (You can even class Grundy and Deathstroke as batman villains)

Same. I don't understand how this always happens with these comic fighters. DC is full of amazing characters, theres no reason we need to throw in a 40th Batman character or Mortal Kombat characters. If I wanted to play Scorpion in a fighting game I can go do that right now.
