Batman: Arkham Knight - First Official Screenshots (villains)

These are target renders I think, don't go nuts until they're confirmed in-engine.
It looks plausible enough in game, but as DSII's reminding us it's best to take with a grain of salt anything that isn't running on actual hardware in front of your eyes. If it's not being doctored up then it's going to pick it at its best looking (or worst for people who want to show how bad a game can look.)

Dat Batmobile!

After Arkham Origins I'm so glad Rocksteady's back for the last Arkham game.

i'm not impressed...

maybe it will look better in motion or maybe they will have an awesome lighting system that makes them look better, but these character models, when compared with last gen and what we have currently, don't hold up well.

Don't hold up compared to what games?

Two-Face's shirt and tie don't conform to the split design motif. Total wardrobe disaster. Hope someone gets fired for that one.

I am liking Bob Hoskins Penguin though.

I'd love to see Man-bat in this one. What other well recognized villains haven't we seen yet?

The ventriloquist is also ok for a brief appearance.

The riddler never struck me as a dirty guy, infact he always seemed quite classy

Someone made a neat suggestion that he's cracking because Batman keeps solving all his impossible riddles.

He actually gets dynamically grungier over the game:

Not only will the Riddler get more actual screen time in Arkham Knight – emerging from the shadows to become a fully realized character – but he evolves over the course of the game as well. Rocksteady says the Riddler will unbutton his shirt, get covered in grime, and become visibly distressed as Batman continues to thwart his plans.

“It’s something we try to put in the characters,” Feliu says. “If you had to work overtime, for example, you would start the night with your jumper on and everything, and as the time went by you’d probably take your jumper off, open your shirt, take your tie off, have a coffee. The Riddler is a character who has a cool framework, and we didn’t want to change it too much – we like his shirts with question marks and silly glasses and greasy hair.”

It's like how Batman's outfit slowly deteriorates over the course of the game, but now applied to all the characters.

Not sure if Im a fan of the "shiny" Batman suit (although it could be from rain?) but that is just me being admittedly nit picky.

Im friggin starved for more media on this though! show us some damn gameplay!

Can I play as Catwoman again please? But this time longer than just 2-3 missions.

I'd like something like this, but as a smaller unlockable campaign, instead of intermittent missions breaking up Batman's story. I thought the Catwoman sections really ruined the pacing of the game.

Favorite thing so far about this gen is the materials.

Metal looks like metal, cloth looks like cloth, glass looks like glass, wood wood, etc etc.

Really makes games look amazing.

See Killzone Shadowfall and Ryse.

No thanks, I don't want Batman with less gadgets.

I'd be fine either way. But I like the idea of it being a separate mission like Claire and Leon's separate storylines in RE2 that sometimes intersect with each other.

Sorry but Cat Woman was pretty lame. In Arkham City, Batman was pretty much better in every way possible. Harley could be pretty good though.

Admittedly she was kind of slow in City but game mechanics can always be improved. I want her to be more like her SNES version. More agile and faster. How would Harley be better when she's not even much of a fighter like Catwoman?

I think Harley would have a lot more interesting gadgets for one. Plus wrecking fools with a baseball beats using a whip and claws.
