Batman Arkham Origins Collector’s Edition revealed?

We reported a while back that Arkham Origins would be getting a Collector’s Edition and that details would be coming.

This image seems to be in line with what we’ve seen previously for the Arkham series and shows off what could be included in the CE. It certainly seems legit.

The image shows that the pack includes:
- a holographic collector’s box
- unique 3D metal game pack
- an Art of Batman Arkham Origins book
- a gorgeous 23cm tall Batman/Joker figure
- and two codes for ‘exclusive’ DLC.

Is this another way of saying 'cheap imitation of Steelbook but not the real thing'? :/

The US version of Mass Effect 3 metal case was sooo bad in comparison to Euro's proper Steelbook. Sure, it may have the same pic of the 2 Sheps on them but the US version is prone to scratches and fingerprints.

My euro me3 tin came scratched from the box, it's prone to scratch too as its coated silver, really sucks.
 
Standard version will be just fine, im having a hard time as it is with all my games let alone boxes of stuff i dont need.
 
Ahr, I don't like steelbooks (they just don't fit the style of the normal boxed ones when all stay next to another).
But I need the artbook, so guess the figure is nice.
 
Very tempting, I'll hold off though. Still can't believe they didn't go next gen as well for this game. I guess that torch is being carried by Rocksteady.
 
That statue looks great, and it's good to see that this will actually come with a case for the game unlike Arkham City's CE.
 
Pretty cool, though I wanted Batman vs DeathStroke or
Bane
rather than The Joker, I just find it more appealing to have a Bat vs Assassin.

I would have loved a Season Pass as well to future DLCs.
 
Figure is nice and all but why didn't they have a Black Mask one, or Deathstroke? Joker, apparently, isn't a huge character in this one so why use him for the statue? Bit disappointing :(
 
Anyone make out what those two DLC pieces are? Im guessing they're skins

I do hope they bring back 1970s blue cape Batman with the white eyes and the yellow oval. He's just different enough for that alt costume appeal, but he still fits in with the Arkham art style so it's not disconnecting(which I can't say for the Animated Batman, who looks like he made a wrong turn at Albuquerque and ended up in the wrong universe)

Looks like it. Normally I don't care for collector's editions with the rare Japanese one being exceptions but I really like this statue. Batman holding Joker up, physically in control while the Joker laughs manically either knowing something or not caring is a good visual representation of their relationship.

I understand that the low install base makes it less appealing for CE's but I hope they release a few. Doubt it considering Injustice didn't have one (though at the time DLC wasn't available while AO does have it). With Nintendo releasing quite a few games this fall the install base will grow and Christmas is a good time for this stuff. I would buy it.

Edit: Didn't make out the (joke?) gun. Makes it even better.

The Wii U version doesn't get the Collector?

Well considering the install base... probably not worth the trouble.

Well, Black Mask is the gangster that puts the hit out on Batman. I'm pretty certain there won't be any bait 'n' switch.

Still, seems like an odd choice to use Joker for the statue. Maybe because he's more recognisable? My two cents.
 
Pretty awesome looking. Probably wouldn't pick up. Decided not to get any more collectors with statues though, they always end up really cheap at some point you know where to look.

Seen the Arkham City one go for around £18 and even the Gears of War 3 one for £25.

Honestly didn't think there were many collectors here besides game collectors
 
Statue looks like it may be cool, hard to tell from that small picture. Going PC version any way. I'm already preparing myself mentally for the inevitable double PC delay followed by a shitty build upon release.

As long as Wii U is getting the same content (it's getting Deathstroke at least), I ain't complaining. :P
 
From the image in the OP it looks like Joker and Batman have developed some kind of romance.

Will not be buying.
