The hyperbole and stupidity in this thread is just amazing.

''Make up!''
''Bad shot!''
''such bad acting, this movie gonna suk''
''why so dark''
''They put this together just as an answer to Civil War''
''Cavill is bald''

etc etc. Someone please update the cycle, need more.

Here's one, why is Superman running at human speed when he could be behind Batman in a microsecond ? And break his neck. He doesn't even have to move to kill him.

I could see this situation if Supes was weakened from Kryptonite or explosion.

I..., I don't believe this to be correct.

Do you have a link for that, please?

I guess that's my head logic more than fact. But X-Men is releasing 3 weeks after Civil War and I remember reading people claiming the trailer would drop early as with The Martian

But what they really need is another Deadpool trailer soon - they're cutting it close on that one.

HE has his fucking BAT ARMOR ON which supposedly has kryptonite in it.

Edit: That's not directed to you, rather than to people who really think and say that.

When he blinks, you can clearly see his eyelids are black.

Seriously?
Of course its makeup. Everyone knows this?

Its been that way since the 1st Batman

I know the paint was used in previous films but in the Batfleck picks it looks really good. Like way better than before.

I still don't understand those reactions. You'd think Uwe Boll was directing.

I remember seeing that thread title and just bursting out laughing cos I knew there'd be wailing and gnashing of teeth.

Does Marvel have quips and jokes in their trailers?
I remember watching IM3's trailer and it was super serious.

Well IM3 trailers had to be serious and dramatic for the twist to work.

Obviously Guardians and Ant-Man had funny stuff in their trailers, but even Winter Soldier and Age of Ultron threw a couple of jokey lines in their trailers.

The debut trailers are usually overly serious and melodramatic

Caville is is displaying what actors call the Meisner technique. Caviile is not to be underestimated.

This has a chance to be the most important film of 2016.

I think Cavill is pretty solid, acting-wise. He's playing another person's nightmarish version of himself in this scene, and I think that's coming across (even in the hacked together preview clip cut).

He hasn't blown me away yet, but I think he has considerably more talent than a lot of other super hero actors these days.

Maybe Batman's suit makes him move at the same speed as Superman?

I don't know how else to explain it. Well, that and Kryptonite weakening him a bit.

Yeah the only trailers I remember watching is IM3, Avengers 2 and CW and they were all pretty serious.
And Winter Solider.

Based on the trailers and clips we've seen, I think it's very safe to say Superman is in a weakened or compromised state here.

Funny thing is Reeve repeatedly pulled the exact same grumpy-cat face in Superman 3 when he was playing an "evil" Supes.

I know people always try to divide it into goofy & serious, but I think this movie will benefit a lot from Terrio's writing, if only because the jokes will land much better.

I liked the amount of humor in Nolan's movies, it was done appropriately and not during action scenes. The banter between Alfred and Bruce was great and I imagine the same will be applied in this movie. I don't attribute that to Goyer's doing, his humor seems to be a bit more juvenile (She Hulk & Martian Manhunter jokes) and less subtle ("dick measuring contest")

Everything I've seen and heard from this movie makes it feel like 90's Crossover Event Comic: THE MOVIE. All we need now is Red Superman, Blue Superman, and Azrael all making appearances.

Each Nolan movie had cheesy jokes during the chase scenes. Somehow it became part of the formula.

Which one? When they were calling in the vehicle description being a tank?

I don't remember Batman saying anything too cheesy during those intense scenes, it was usually secondary characters like the cops. The only one that comes to mind is when he replies to joker saying his scar line.

Goofy for me would be something like Batman making a remark after Bane broke his back, or cracking a joke while interrogating Joker. Stuff like that really takes away from the drama in the scene for me. Age of Ultron
quicksilver's death is a perfect example, a quip while he dies takes away any emotional impact I would have felt
.

man those movies had stupid lines
Catwoman: My mother warned me about getting into cars with strange men.
Batman: This isn't a car.

Bruce Wayne: I'm not afraid. I'm angry.

Bane: So, you came back to die with your city.
Batman: No. I came back to stop you.

Batman: Tell me where the trigger is. Then... you have my permission to die!

LMAO

People give the burton movies shit but they didn't have lines like that geeeeeeeez.

But because it's a nu Batman movie they eat it up.

I don't expect the DCCU to have jokes until Flash arrives. Maybe more so if we get a Hal Jordan Green Lantern. Seems like a shame Green Arrow won't show up though, cause that guy has jokes.
