Trailer visuals looking really fucking cool

After daredevil it reminded me how much I'm ready for the "dark and gritty" superhero shit again

Like I love raimi's spidermans and singer's xmens (though this has a balance of Humor and drama) but I need this mean vibe again.
That's surprising, because all I hear about is how people bitch about everything being dark and gritty.

Which is hilarious because almost nothing is dark and gritty. Like, the first 15 minutes of Days of Future Past, Man of Steel and now Daredevil. That's about it in the last few years.

People still try to tell me the Amazing Spider-Man was a gritty reboot. I laugh everytime.

Dark and gritty can be really cool

I love Avengers, The Flash, and other more comic-books shows and movies as much as the next guy, but stuff like Punisher MAX, Netflix's Daredevil, The Dark Knight, Man of Steel, etc. are just as enjoyable

I usually prefer a gritty realistic adaptation

It's often used as a substitute for "dramatic" which is what TDK was and the genre was all the better for it (aside from that basura boat scene)

DOFP had a lot of funny scenes in it such as quicksilver, but I also loved how bleak the future and also Xavier's past mindset was

I don't think I can handle both a Star Wars and BvS trailer on the same day. Please don't leak any more lol

today was a good day. two lines i always wanted to hear.

"Tell me do you bleed ? You will !'
"Chiewe we are home "

This leak is almost exactly the same as that leaked comic con footage, except for the voice.

Disappointing :( hopefully the rest of the teaser shows more

That's like saying Batman Begins didn't give escalation or the Symbol concept proper thought or consideration (all which were developed in subsequent films).

None of that was the story of Man of Steel (or Begins), it was simply something raised with the intention of being picked up later. They knew what their story was and that it ended basically on the day Superman makes his public debut. The story of the reaction is a different story. Really, who better to react in a subsequent film that Luthor and Batman? That doesn't mean Gordon or Jonathan or Perry are off base for pointing it out one film earlier.

The thought and consideration was to raise the world-building issues and then recognize they shouldn't be developed in the same film with enough going on.

Escalation was hinted at at the very end of the movie. Man of Steel pays lip service to the theme of cultural shock and upheaval. I guarantee this is the pitch Nolan had when reimagining the character and if he directed the movie that theme would have been more fully explored. And Bruce has a genuine and fully considered character arc in Batman Begins. Clark has no such thing in Man of Steel

Silly question, but only the end bit of the trailer that was on the last page got leaked, and not the whole thing, right. ?

Yea, it's only the last 30 seconds. I would say it's maybe about 15 seconds of actual footage

It's the cycle of everything. Love it at first, then it gets popular and hate on it, then wait a few years and get nostalgic about it and wonder why more current things aren't like it anymore.
