Batman vs Superman trailer leaked

I don't understand why this has a vs. title other than to mislead people? It's comical to see Batman threatening Superman. All he can do is pull out a bag of kryptonite like in the animated TV show which is boring, otherwise he's crushed in seconds. It just seems silly rather than cool.

That being said I like the bat suit/new muscles, don't really like the glowy eyes but it's not a big deal.

It's not vs. it's v.

Batman is suing Superman.

Why does Zack Snyder keep insisting for everyone to go to church?

This teaser...unfortunately did nothing for me. I was really hoping to see Wonder Woman.

Smarts and tactics. Batman obviously can't go toe-to-toe with Superman, so he has to rely on gadgets, trickery, science, exploitation, manipulation, his own smarts, money, etc.

Lex Luthor is the same, but the evil asshole version of that.

Awesome trailer. I got a very The Dark Knight Returns vibe from it with reports discussing the implications of Superman being in the world now. And of course Lex was amazing.

Tell me, do you bleed? Holy shit. You will. Holy shittt.

Batman looks like a monster. Awesome.

I thought this was one of the more intriguing shots in the trailer? Who is bowing to Supes here? Looks like SWAT.

This looks to continue the tradition of all modern DC movies, apart from Nolan's Batman trilogy, being shit. Seriously what a terrible trailer.

Would have been nice if Man of Steel actually did anything with that supposedly huge and important moment instead of going right to Superman joking with the feds.

He hugged Lois' crotch.

Who wouldn't feel better after sticking their head next to Amy Adams' crotch?

Weirdo

The darkness threw me off for a bit especially because Star Wars was kind of uplifting in its own way. But when I saw that image of Affleck looking at the suit, I was like: "That looks like Bruce." And then those last lines were uttered which were absolutely perfect.

Goddamn. This movie is going to be something. I don't care what it ends up being but I am fully on board. Snyder and co will deliver.

I actually liked that Superman killed Zod.

Not cause I think that Superman should be a killer, but cause it was a green Superman thrown into a near-impossible and desperate situation and he's clearly broken about it after.

Could've gouged out Zod's eyes, covered them with is hand, turned him away from the family, grabbed him and jumped into the air, etc, etc.

Either way Superman is really not having an easy time in this universe.

The trailer suggests the opposite.

This movie looks to be taking the idea of Superman existing in our world very seriously.

Similar to the first two Dark Knight films.

Whether or not it is good will have to wait until next year.

SW and BvS trailers in the same day. I'm spent.

I liked this teaser quite a bit. It does a good job selling what's going to be core premise of the film - whether people can trust Superman.

Did you watch the CinemaSins video for Man of Steel earlier today too?

You're not wrong though. But man, gouging out Zod's eyes? That would have been hilariously grim.

But Zod was already past the point of no return, so what would jumping in the air or covering his eyes have done? Prolonged the fight. It would have just kept going.

Fantastic teaser! Love the darkness. I love the idea that before the Justice League, these two have to find common ground. Like Darwyn Cooke's New Frontier, Wonder Woman will probably play a big role in helping them find that common ground.

I would assume that with people being people, some 'worshippers' go straight militant and are all about spreading the gospel of Kent with the sword, regardless of what he thinks or says. This would fuel the negative public perception of Superman, along with him not actually being the messiah and solving all the world's problems in a single stroke.

People always assume that Superman was so torn up about the thing because he killed 'someone', but he was freaking out because he was forced to kill the last kryptonian. All the destruction makes it pretty clear that Superman was willing to let some lives slide if he could reach an amicable solution with Zod. It's stressed in the film that Kent, having grown up on earth, is stronger than Zod would ever be, and he probably could've ended the fight whenever. He didn't until the family scene because that was the point where he gave up on a peaceful solution and kill the only person that could tell him about Krypton. Gouging eyes out or whatever would've stopped the lasers, but it wouldn't have stopped Zod from trying to destroy humanity, which is what mattered.

Yep, more interested in what they do with this than all other comic book films (even though I'm banking on apocalypse being the best superhero flick of 2016)

I take back everything I said about DC being too dark. I'm really happy to have my happy, fun MCU films and then these side-by-side.

I just really, really hope they can coexist and don't step on each other's profits too much.

The line felt out of character for me, even in the comics I've never felt Batman was one for bloodlust. Curious what drives him to such anger.

it's like the whole "even a god can bleed" thing

batman is approaching superman attempting to break myth/legend

works well imo

I think the lines Alfred delivers in the trailer sums it up pretty well. Batman feels fear of what Superman can do. More so than that though, he fears how helpless the world is against such a being. It probably evokes memories of how helpless he was during his parents' death. Those memories turn to rage and make Batman want to prevent Superman from doing anything harmful by preemptively stopping him.

That was really...boring. One minute of media setup that's just boring shit we don't care about, then some kinda cool shots. I think just opening with the False God part would've been a lot more effective.

actually i agree with that..the first thing i thought was..why would batman say that doesn't really sound like something he'd say.

but it was also kind of a cool line maybe more suited for another character.

I understand the tone and plot setup from the trailer I just think it was executed horribly.

How can Batman take on Superman?

Easily. This is the movie debut of Prep-Time BatGod.

Fuuuu.....Prep-time BatGod in live action. *bites knuckles*

People talking about kyptonite and stuff, that's not necessarily needed, though could be discovered and wasn't even introduced in the first film, if Batman figures out the atmospheric composition native to the kryptonians that alone can harm Superman.
