Batman vs Superman trailer leaked

I like Batman, i like Superman, i love Zack Snyder and i really liked Man of Steel. But to think that a mere human like Batman poses any threat to Supes is just plain dumb. Im really curious on how that will play out. Cool teaser/trailer though.

Batman ain't a mere human, though.

What we need is a definitive Batman on screen so people's assumptions can be rearranged. We have never seen Batman properly done on screen. He has always been a mediocre affectation (or grounded interpretation) of what Batman is.

People compained that MoS was too dark and 'Nolan-ized' and this looks even darker!

Still it looks good but EVERY Snyder film looks good in teasers/trailers.

I'm waiting for the final product.

i don't mind dark...we've had campiness for decades.

i just want it to be superhero-like, not realistic aka nolan. i want a batman that's agile, and a superhero not just an emotionally-scarred person who just wears a cowl. i need that justice league cartoon batman. or that btas batman. or that dark knight returns batman.

I had no expectations for the teaser, so.... eh.

Superman looks good in his action shots, so does Batman (while standing still). The verdict is still out on how he looks in motion.

Anyway, I like that it seems the theme this time is how Superman has to fight to be accepted by humanity? And people kneeling before him... ooh this is new; I like.

Oh oh I like the modulated voice too.

This is stretching the truth a bit. Goyer's script was rewritten. To what extent is unknown, could be almost all of it, could be only large segments, who knows, but it wasn't thrown out completely and started from scratch as far as I know.

It's called rewrite for a reason. A rewrite

So much black it's almost an audio book.

Despite that, seems alright to me :)

Didn't Dark Knight Rises take some stuff from Dark Knight Returns?
Yes

I don't care about these scrubs, where is Khal Drogo Aquaman?
We have only a photo of Aquaman, it was very possible to not see him.

Not a fan of the voice. Why do live action Batmans need to sound like gargly monsters?

Batman's voice in the comics of 1990's and later is likened to frosted razors, hard as steel, deep and rough and like Clint Eastwood's voice. More here: http://gothamalleys.blogspot.gr/2012/01/batmans-voice.html

Alfred's line along with Bruce's stare and those glimpses of the Batsuit is just perfect.

"That's how it starts. The fever. The rage. A feeling of powerlessness that turns good men.....cruel."

Irons is killing it.

I get why they they are doing it (dat Avengers money) but it would have been nice to see Superman have at least another solo movie before they start throwing Batman/Justice League at the franchise.

It just feels like they are rushing things to get to the MCU endgame without building the foundations first as Marvel did.

I was expecting something upbeat and loud. This has a darker tone to it. It looks better than what I had imagined it was going to be. Affleck looks pretty solid.

I expected Ben Affleck to hold meetings with everyone, talk about his business, and then everything would have this odd loose weight attached to it.

I don't know if it'll top The Dark Knight. That movie had some solid tones to it.

Bruce Wayne's face has to sync with the mask. They have to be a whole.

Love the trailer.

From what I can see it looks like supes is loved by some and hated by the rest. All those comments at the beginning of the trailer remind me of the interviews in the dark knight returns where they debate on batman's return. However in this movie the topic is superman instead.

I like that they are giving supes a morally difficult situation to deal with, reminds me of superman vs the elite.

Can't see superman going all out against batman, its probably just a short fight in the movie, followed by the team up to defeat luthor.

Now just wish WB would release a proper quality one.

I don't recall this kind of take on Superman in the comics, I mean I think is great but the whole
False God and protests agaisnt him
not even in Dark Knight Returns they did that. Is there any comic with this kind of stuff?

Nick Fury was in the first damn Iron Man movie and plugged Avengers,
Fury & Widow were both in the second.

DC has an easier time selling a team up considering all the other Superman and Batman movies. Not the same interpretation of the character, but enough, I think to hit the ground running.

We really don't need another Batman origin, at the very least. Ugh.

meh. everyone knows supes and bats by now. marvel did those movies because no one knew who iron man was, or thor, or capt america. some kid in korea now has an iron man tshirt, which never happened before the movies.

In superman: birthright
people feared him after they learned he is an alien and some Luthor's acfions to frame Superman.

He can be a fatherly accomplice. I mean, what's the point of Alfred if he isn't being the best parent in superhero comics? Then again, I have no idea what's going on in Gotham with him. Maybe the new cool thing to do with Alfred is to make him tough and rough and not be Bruce's surrogate dad?

You aren't watching Gotham?
Alfred is like the best part.

So is Batman just a straight up bad guy in this or is it more nuanced? Spoiler tag if you must.

All we know is
Bruce was likely in Metropolis when MOS went down, especially with being Batman he isn't very trusting.

Yes sir. Totally down with the theme being about humans struggling with feeling vulnerable and helpless due to this practically invincible man flying around throwing semis at shit. I'm so in on this movie!

This. Already infinitely more interesting than the bullshit civil war storyline which everyone seems to be totally okay with for some reason.

Imagine if Bale had taken the money and reprised the role. Imma picture Bale in this role when watching this film.

I'm sorry but I don't think Bale was a good Batman at all. He was a decent Bruce Wayne at best. I feel like Ben Affleck fits the role much better.

I havent watched MoS, is it as "dark and gritty" as this trailer? I'm not much of a DC fan but that's not the Superman I know
