This is the first I've heard of a rendezook. Now I have to try and pull one off.
 
Didn't care for the 'actiony' aspect of the trailer. Explosions, explosions, explosions.

But I will definitely buy a game if its single-player campaign is centered on Lawrence.

It's not, I think there are six separate stories with about three missions a piece.
 
Meh, honestly meh. This game has been nothing but underwhelming to me. I'm purchasing it on PC to have a good graphical showcase for my 1080 and I'm hoping that the campaign is decent. As for the multiplayer, it looks extremely disappointing. As someone who hopped on the BF train and has played 1942, 1943, BF2, BFBC2, BF3, and BF4, the formula is getting tired. This looks like it's on pace to be the most boring BF game yet at least from the alpha gameplay videos. Hopefully the beta will change my mind.

It's the most punishing BF game by far. The suck bags that usually clog up the servers are going to be eaten for breakfast, lunch and dinner. There are no lock on or OP weapons to save them.

I don't know about no OP weapons but no lock on weapons is a step in the right direction. Unfortunately, most punishing equals smaller player base because less casuals will stick around. That can either be good or bad depending on how you look at it.

I for one am very excited for this game, especially thanks to those stunning graphics and the fact that this years cod game doesn't seem interesting for one bit IMO.

Holy shit hat looks absolutely amazing.


Can't wait to see how this looks on NEO. Could always double dip on PC but most of my playtime will be on PS NEO.
 
I've never been into the Battlefield series but I think this looks amazing. So a silly question: Can we expect a decent single player campaign or is this just online multiplayer?
 
This looks like it will be brilliant.
Infinite Warfare had better be awesome, otherwise this could be this winters FPS of choice.

And we also have Titanfall 2 in the mix. :D

They've talked in ambitious terms about their SP for BF1 (likely affected by the outcry of no SP for Battlefront in some way). I believe they've said either 5 or 6 character stories in total, so hopefully they do good in that respect.

This year's BF vs. CoD battle is going to be exciting.

My 1080 is looking for some action, let's see how these games will perform in 4K.

But he's not wrong. I'm 100% buying this and 100% not buying CoD as a direct result. I don't have time for more than one or two FPS games and between Battlefield and Overwatch with a sprinkle of TF2 and Evolve, CoD draws the short straw. I won't be alone in skipping CoD this year.

True but since they were prototypes and rarely if ever used towards bthe end of the war, they should be limited in scope/high level unlocks with much more attention to bolt action rifles.

It was leaked they're in MP and also there is an SP Gallipoli level. German troops were not active at all in the Desert unless with Ottoman forces, otherwise I guess this game isn't really going for accuracy.

Its really a disgrace. Dice pretty much phoned it in when it came to any authenticity. People who don't know anything about WW1 will assume it's the same as WW2.

They call it elite classes.

Flame Trooper Elite Class
Wrapped in fire-resistant gear, a gas mask, and carrying a powerful flamethrower, the Flame Trooper brings with him chaos. Stay far away if you can, but if you find yourself eye-to-eye with the Flame Trooper, you'd best muster your courage, fix your bayonet, and charge into battle before he notices you. Sentry Elite Class
The Sentry moves like a human tank. With a water-cooled automatic machine gun at his hip and strapped in plated armor, the Sentry can shower enemy positions with lead while still being able to withstand a lot of damage. His main weakness is his greatest strength – in order to keep up his defense, he eschews the use of a gas mask in favor of additional armor plating.

Tank Hunter Elite Class
The Tank Hunter has mastered the use of the 1918 Tankgewehr, an absolute beast of a weapon. Standing almost as tall as a man, the Tankgewehr is capable of damaging enemy vehicles over great distances. With a well-placed shot, the Tank Hunter can focus fire on particular parts of the enemy vehicles, taking out the tracks, machine guns, or cannons on armored vehicles.

Didn't know BF1 has elite classes.

Titanfall 2 beta possible this weekend and the on after that, and BF1 on the 31st. Guess I won't be bored this month :)
 
Looks great. I was a little worried with the gameplay in the rain shown earlier, but this looks like the reveal trailer.

I can't imagine what kind of DLC they will do. Exciting.
