Portal is going to be what everyone goes straight to. Watched some 4k video and this looks amazing.
Who needs a tutorial for FPS?The game looks beautiful on the Series X but its boring and not providing a tutorial for new players was a very bad idea.
It does not even feel like 64 vs. 64 because the action can get very sporadic
An even better question.... who needs a tutorial for a pre-order early access beta of a 20 year old multiplayer franchise? Gamepass master race I guess?Who needs a tutorial for FPS?
Nvidia sponsored game and this is how they are marketing itThey purposely left out extra graphics settings in the PC version to hide the parity difference prior to release, right?
Or is ray tracing not supported?
Amazon works. Preorder the game after you get the key cancel the pre order.Interesting to read the polarizing impressions on this game.
Do all of you have it pre-ordered or is there another way to get an early key?
is there some portal footage available?Portal is going to be what everyone goes straight to. Watched some 4k video and this looks amazing.
look at someone who is actually capable of playing battlefield like battlefield, before saying that's not fun
This question deserves a bumpHave people who played this enjoyed battlefield 3, battlefield 4? 1942, Vietnam? It's battlefield. I'm confused by the negatives.
sound design is absolutely top tier. I can properly hear footsteps!
i suppose you could say that about any group based multiplayer game but i've more than enjoyed multiplayer games with random players. played a shit load of BF2,3,4 that way and will do the same for 2042.To be honest, battlefield is only truly fun when you are in a squad of mates, all communicating, and playing the objectives correctly.
Random squads are generally shite.
So I'll reserve true judgement until I squad up properly.
I'm just not a fan of the big maps, the intensity of battles is not present. I think I will be playing old maps or smaller maps
The thing is for what it's doing it looks damn good too.At first I was disappointed with the visuals but after seeing one of those massive hurricane/tornados I was genuinely blown away. That was a rare "next gen moment". The amount of dynamism happening with lightning, rain, debris, trees reacting and blowing in the wind during this massive battle with a very convincing looking tornado is something I've never seen before. Wow.
My concerns though are that the maps are just too big (they say this is a medium sized map) and the class system being bad for balance. Hopefully those concerns turn out to not be a big deal.
And also the visual glitchiness and audio problems.
First game, Battlefield moment instantly provided:
It is kinda stuttery though, hopefully it gets sorted. I kinda need this game to be good, especially Hazard Zone.
Because "only in Battlefield" lolWhy is there a fucking tank on the roof....
I had fun with it on pc. Some foors fidnt worj but whej. Running into them ousbing e i could see theough the doors temporarily eveb when theybwouldbt open lolBecause "only in Battlefield" lol
I had a great time playing last night. Some odd bugs here and there..but they seem way less than the BF4 'beta'. Over all I am excited for the final product.
You okay?I had fun with it on pc. Some foors fidnt worj but whej. Running into them ousbing e i could see theough the doors temporarily eveb when theybwouldbt open lol

"Own the Battlefield with the lowest latency of NVIDIA Reflex and the performance-accelerating NVIDIA DLSS for the definitive Battlefield 2042 experience."
There is no raytracing.
That is quintessentially BattlefieldThis couldn't be more irrelevant when my opinion is based off personal experience of teammates flying helicopters into walls
Cheers
I have played them all and I disliked them all. BF has never been as big as COD because those entries were too open and only had a couple of maps like Metro where you could just go in and kill some people without having to run a mile every time.Have people who played this enjoyed battlefield 3, battlefield 4? 1942, Vietnam? Rush wouldn't even work on this scale and really hasn't been good since BC2 and BF3. The more players made it a cluster of people rushing to arm and disarm the single points at each location. That being said they could offer smaller Rush modes that could work well. Hopefully with Portal you can play Rush like on Valparaiso.Even Rush isnt in this game.

Whats frustrating is that they fixed that issue with BF1. Operations mode kept the action in front of you. The weapons weren't all long range sniper rifles with fancy scopes and ARs and LMGs simply couldnt take you down from range like they could in modern BF games. There were no choppers so the best the pilots could do was drop bombs or do strafing runs. Here, the choppers just hover over an objective and get easy kills.
And thats the biggest problem I have with these modern setting BF games, it's far too easy to die and you dont get to see much action even if you choose to spawn on bases under attack. The game supposedly had 128 players but it feels like a 12 vs 12 game. I never saw more than 24 players in a gun fight. In BF1, even the 40 player Operations felt like 120 players because all the action was focused on one part of the map.
I still enjoyed the demo, but the CoD crowd DICE captured with BF1 has left them because they have deserted what attracted the cod fanbase in the first place. Quick infantry on infantry action. I really dont understand why modes like Operations are taken out. Even Rush isnt in this game.
