I could make some GIFs, too. I know the last shot isn't a direct grab, but goddamn, that reminds me of Crysis.

The effects that came from the jets/a-10s dropping ordnance was ridiculous.

that BRRRRT is the sound of their Vulcan.

All the sounds, all the chatter, all the models are spot on authentic/realistic.

I just saw the multiplayer video. The scene with the subway getting torn up look insanely good. I can't believe that destruction was real time. It looked better than most scripted events.

Can an i5 2500k and a 6970 run this game nicely?

ANNND should I get a 6970 or another gpu?

If you already have one, you should wait and try out the open beta come September and then decide whether you want to crossfire.

oh ma gaud!!

I'm going to empty my savings to build the greatest PC known to man, then I will bask (again) in the glory of PC gaming.

I don't! I'm thinking of getting those when I upgrade my rig!

Really? Will the fastest processor out now and the top end AMD card on the market (with 2GB of RAM) run this game nicely?

I'm sure you know the answer the rhetorical question!

.
how was that multiplayer? seriously. I'm in love.
can't wait to see some 360 footage though. gonna be playing this with friends, so I'm stuck with the Xbox version indefinitely.

Well the game will come out only at the end of the year, and I heard people saying it wasn't running smoothly on a GTX580, that's why I asked. But thanks for the answer.

Where did you hear that? All of the footage we've seen has been running on a single 580 from my understanding,

I don't know anything about PC gaming really, so I have a quick question. Would an iMac 3.4 i7 with a 6970m 2gb be able to run this better than console versions. I'm trying to transition over to the master race (I know it's am iMac, I'm taking baby step) :)

I'm sure that's more than enough

:\ Will it even be for apples?

I'm going to say yes.

Doesn't take much for a modern PC with a decent graphics card to best console versions of the same game nowadays.

If you're going to buy a Mac, just get a copy of Windows via Bootcamp.

My 8-Core Mac Pro w/ 16GB of RAM is ready.

My ATI 4870, however, is not. Upgrade time!

Battlefield is processor intensive, so a gtx580 but only a dual core 2.5 CPU will limit your framerate

Yep.

The Core i5/i7 2500k/2600k will be a perfect match for this game. Easily overclockable (I'm running my i7 2600k @ 4.5ghz with a push of a button on ASUS mobo software) and when you get in the 4.2ghz+ range you really aren't being CPU limited anymore in games.

OK. I could update my old PC for that game. I'll wait for the specs needed to make it run like it does in this tank assault video though. Amazing experience...
