Battlefield 4 Beta Thread: Prepare 4 Battle (Update to beta drivers)

Awesome, will preorder later on :D

Cautiously optimistic for my aging i7-860 and GTX 570.

that was almost my setup for BF3
i7- 870 and a 570GTX
started with a 460gtx back in the BF3 beta but wasn't fully satisfied with performance so I got a 570GTX for release. Became dissatisfied with performance over time once again, so I decided to get a 680gtx 2GB with a lil bonus from work.

Ive have also since OC'd the i7 870 from 2.9ghz stock to 3.5ghz, had to downclock my ram some tho.

I wonder how many hours it will be before someone makes a cracked .exe and is able to launch the game before the 1st. :3

It has begun...

Anyone want to join me on BF3? I don't believe I've ever played with GAF before.

Hmm an error popped up saying I needed BF3 installed to continue with the pre-load... Goddamit, BF3 is going to take all day with my download speed.
Wish I knew in advance.

Beta preloaded and ready for business.

My Asus oc'd GTX 560 ti is crying in the corner right now. Gonna milk every last polygone out of her.

You and me both. My old OC'd EVGA 560Ti is ready to roll. At least until I can afford a 7970 later in the month :D

Cannot wait.... Preload complete

I'm only rocking the following set up though.

Win 8
A10 5800k @4ghz
4gb DDR3 @1866 mhz
GTX 760 2gb

Luckily my monitor doesnt go up to 1080p lol

I am not getting my hopes up due to it being just a beta. I'm fairly certain I'll re-live the glorious uberlagging and "bf3.exe has stopped working" times of two years past.

Got this preloaded already and should run well on my desktop and laptop :)

Desktop

i5 3770k
8gb DDR3
GTX 560ti

Laptop
i7-4700MQ
8gb DDR3
GTX675M

they actualy perform very similarly when get a new graphics card for my desktop though that will obviously be much more powerful

Pre-load keeps cutting itself off with errors. But at least I'm nearly done with Origins resume download stuff.

At least it's better than Uplay which doesn't even do pre-loading, so...

its 60fps on next gen consoles

With compromises. And unles your CPU and RAM is badly in need of an upgrade, the only thing you need to worry about is your GPU more than likely if your CPU is fine in BF3.

Amazing.

Is it worth renting a server for the beta? i was thinking about it but i don't know if we have enough people to fill it :/.

I wouldn't do it since there's other servers. GAF-PC rent-a-servers died in BC2 and BF3 within a few months since a bunch of the base was flavor of the month shooter-people.

Hope my 660ti is still capable. This should let me know if its time to upgrade. At least I know my 3770K is good for a bit longer.

And holy shit, 5MB/s, this preload is going to be done in less than 30 minutes. Kinda impressed with Origin for once.
Origin downloads have been extremely fast forever (since when it was called "EA download manager"). It's the only service that reliably maxes out my connection.

It's really fast when it works. Downloads keep pausing every few minutes for me. It's a pain in the arse but at least my speeds are good.
